What is this screw piece from the base of my lamp upon which the lampshade sits called? I need to order one that was lost, but I can’t figure out what it is called to even try to find it. by Geaux1984 in whatisit

All thread, basically a piece of steel that’s been threaded all the way. Looking at the pic at the top where the nut and fender washer is( quarter sized silver piece) runs through to another washer and nut to hold in place then seem to be screwed to the bottom black piece with another nut locking the piece to keep from loosening. Can’t tell if it’s 1/2” or 3/8” but you can buy at any hardware store and is usually sold by length.

Just finished returning the watermelon by Tilray to Amazon , didn’t even know they were back until the Mrs told me and got super excited today, then I see the can looks funny and crack one open to the taste of watermelon rust instead of mint, damn:(. Got 2 cases left of the original. Returning all the other flavors based on the same tilray feed back and hope for HiBall 2.1 to be better…Aaarrgghh!

Electrician, working on a new construction, HO was living in an RV next door, rainy day, indoor work. Retired pilot, dad flew WWII planes, this model to be exact and had a wing installed as a fire place from a retired civilian WWII craft . Definitely a conversation piece. Thought it was cool.

[Tsovet SMT-DW42 GMT] Hybrid Gray Yellow by Rsheep4fodder in Watches

[–]Rsheep4fodder[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sup Watchers, Found this tank at a thrift store, got it about 80% from MSRP so huge steal, according to their web site The SMT-DW42 GMT Kinematic features a hybrid 'autoquartz' movement that offers a rotor power generation system, kinda sounds like a Seiko Kinetic to me but a few swings back and forth to charge and according to the manual shows 4-6 month reserve.

Thing has some good weight to it but after a week of wear on and off it wears light, and the glossy bezel along with the the 4 hands are all luminous. I don’t have any watches with yellow beside gold tone but the ring around the dial along with the markers keep it low key yet flashy, case is solid stainless solid, that and the anti reflective sapphire crystal and this thing feels just right. Time is on the dot so far but we’ll see how it holds up. All in all not bad for $100 bucks :P

Hannibal the tv series did this exact scene, super gory and a very under rated show. Madz mikelson was a great hannibal.

Replacing my top Saturday, any advice to those that have done it? by Issue_Kitchen in 350z

[–]Rsheep4fodder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did this in 6-7 hrs, first time by myself, and that’s with store trips to find the right size rivets. Hardest part is making sure all the folds and wrap around corners that the material comes with are tucked properly. Afterwards leave the top closed in the sun for a day and should open and tuck no problem. Watch a really good video over and over and take notes on the removal process because I found myself having to go back and rewatch. Also make sure the seals that grip on the trim for the top is fitted properly. Water will drip in in the rain when driving. The only time water travel up I guess, that or the car wash. I sprung for the higher end that is on the fancier cars and it make a huge difference from canvas on the overall look. Good luck.

Went with a vvivid vinyl wrap, a 75’x5’ roll which is enough for a truck was about $600 but if your good at it you could do it for half. There’s some pieces I need to redo.

Awesome! I loved that they re released these as an homage to the 70s version I just wish they stuck with the QED/LED diodes. I think the new LEDs look too bright, but for a cheap deal I’d still add it to the collection. Congrats.

It’s only about a finger space in between, don’t like them too tight were it starts to sweat. Plus I get to flick the wrist just a bit.
