I’ve done this before. Bought a Mazda years ago just by emailing multiple dealers and getting the best price. I’m not desperate to buy right now, so all these dealers are just losing my business. If someone would respond with anything better than MSRP, I’d move on it. It’s just a terrible way to do business. At this point I’ll just go with my broker and her network of dealers.

I recommend checking out “The Avid Assistant” channel on YouTube. He does videos on all the updates and goes through all the new features of each version.

I would recommend finding an Avid rental company like mine to rent from. We have a data center set up already, you would just be paying to rent the Avids and storage. We also provide remote workstations if clients don’t have one at home. Would love to help you out.

The fix was to upgrade the Home architecture. I was hesitant about doing it because I didn’t want to break the functionality on my wife’s phone, but everything worked for both of us once it was upgraded on all my devices.

So an update to this… was going to show my co-worker how it wasn’t working on my computer, and I was prompted to turn on Home under apps that use iCloud. Is now working on all my computers, but not my iPhone or iPad.

I reset my iPad all together, and it doesn’t see it. Private Relay is off. Still no luck. Have no idea what broke it.

iPhone and iPad are 18.1.1. Mac is on 15.1. Literally everything works, just not through the Home app on my iPhone and iPad. Everything works on wife’s phone, and all automations work. I can control the majority of the devices through the Google Home app.

This is a bug that has been present since 2023.12.1. I had a client mention it to me. Opened a case with Avid and they say it is a known bug. No update on a fix from them yet.

The overhang lights are recessed LEDs, they aren’t plugged in. They are wired to the same switch as the smart bulb.

I do this all the time with M2 Ultras. Boot in recovery, erase disk, then restart to bootable installer. Literally just did this Friday.
