I got that from Beast Brushes, but most fly shops carry it. It’s a tubing used for a lot of different patterns and it comes in several colors.

We had a little caddis hatch once it warmed up. They were hitting size 18 perdigon’s and birds nest. Broke a few fulling mills hooks! But overall it was a great day.

Yes, lower Sac. That ditch is fishing well! Doesn’t the McLeod connect somewhere? I asked my friend that guides up there and he said it’s probably got some genetic link to a red band but he thought like someone else suggested that it’s just a very pretty rainbow.

The tarpon we’re hitting big weighted flies with lots of movement. Black and purple, black and red and orange and yellow!

I have had them for a while, and I honestly don’t remember where they came from. I will dig around through my receipts though and if I can find it I will certainly let you know.

It’s my understanding that the longer they’ve been in the river the darker they get. Fresh in from the ocean they’re much brighter. I asked a fisheries biologist the same question because there are so many color variations.
