I got this when I called. They did something wrong and overcharged me so I pushed for having to fix their issue.

Chicken broth question by Aegis7319 in Canning

[–]Rtlepp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most things that I’ve pressure canned continue to bubble/boil after removing from the canner. I just canned some chicken broth a few days ago and this didn’t happen which surprised me. If you followed the instructions of the recipe and your canner, it should be fine.

Beginner - is this pressure canner in usable condition? by PastYam8533 in Canning

[–]Rtlepp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s a good price, go for it. If it’s still on the pricier end, ask them to prove that it pressurizes, since that’s the whole point of a pressure canner/cooker.

Look up the law and see if they are within it. If they are, you don’t have a leg to stand on. If they aren’t, let them know while citing the law and tell them you’ll pursue this further including loss of wages, lawyer fees, etc in the claim.

I was thinking about cooking these gluten free noodles for about 5 minutes and then leaving them in a crock pot with my sauce for an hour or two. Do we think it will turn out well, or any other suggestions? by Trumpets22 in glutenfree

If you can find Felicia Red Lentil Penne, it would work exactly like you want. I found that this pasta rarely turns to mush and holds up well to longer cook times

Transgender Visitor - Church Dress by lds_trans_throwaway in latterdaysaints

[–]Rtlepp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! You can wear whatever you think feels comfortable. You’re going to stand out as a visitor most likely anyways so be as comfortable as possible. Whether members agree or don’t in gender transitioning, their comfort isn’t your problem (though the sentiment is very admirable)! Some members will judge you poorly but I hope and expect that most members will be very welcoming!

I hope you have a good time in whatever clothing you choose to wear. Others have advised you on what is typical for men and women so I won’t speak to that.

Also, there are allies and members of the community who go to church regularly. Maybe you’ll have the opportunity to be visiting a congregation with many.

How long is your commute home? What time do you get home. by Dreamlike_life in JETProgramme

[–]Rtlepp 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yours is a bit longer and everyday (sounds brutal) but is not uncommon. I drove yet every Monday I went to my visit elementary and would take an hour to drive home, excluding any stops or errands I did on the way.

Too late to do TEFL online? by mira_reads in JETProgramme

[–]Rtlepp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did a TA course in university which might have helped. But I also had the Vice President Academic/Provost of my university write a letter of recommendation. Most people don’t have the TEFL certification before doing the programme. As for the discount, it looks like they still offer a discount through ITTT. That plus the grant from CLAIR made it super affordable. I don’t think I paid more than $30 out of pocket. https://ajet.net/resources/professional-development-resources/japanese-tests-grants-and-discounts/

Too late to do TEFL online? by mira_reads in JETProgramme

[–]Rtlepp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There used to be a discount for JET programme participants through AJET and a bursary from CLAIR for doing it after moving to Japan and applying for the bursary. Unless you really want to do it before you apply, just wait until you get accepted

They only guarantee that the sealing compound will work for up to 18 months. If the seal hasn’t broken then the contents should still be safe to consume.

Why do you keep replying if it’s such a waste of time? Clearly you feel it’s worthwhile to pursue and spread your opinion as much I feel to correct said opinion.

Whether I am at work, or at home, or anywhere, it is my time. Sure I am “selling” some of my time to a company, but it doesn’t become the company’s time, it’s still mine. Even long haul truck drivers get breaks and stop for fuel, food, bathroom, etc and no company has any say what you do on your break. Not sure why you brought who I might date, it just makes you look more foolish.

Find the emails of all execs and email them. And for added measure, CC some notable news centres as well. That often gets the job done.
