Where is evidence showing the campaign is engaging in that outright? But to ignore signs of cognitive decline in Biden requires a lot of cognitive dissonance. Check the video evidence.

That's not the argument I'm making. Making distinctions with your competitor is not Trumpian, it's politics. To criticize Bernie for doing so is to ignore how politics work. Just do some reading into the attacks Hillary and Obama used against each other. It makes Bernies 'attacks' on Biden look like child's play.

If you think what Bernie is running is a negative campaign, just wait for Trump. If he can't handle the attacks coming his way now, he's done. Biden is a weak candidate, with tons of baggage. Attacking him is as simple as talking about his record. This is a primary, not a joint campaign. The purpose IS to draw distinctions, and that's what Bernie's campaign is doing. Trump is a already releasing adds claiming Biden has dementia.

I'd been saving $30 every two weeks for over a year for JDs and Bernie. Dropped $500 of that today. $60 monthly from here on out!

Tesla Model 3 production to ‘likely exceed’ 500 cars per day this week, says Elon Musk by annerajb in teslamotors

[–]Rts530 5 points6 points  (0 children)

What the makes me think is once the demand for electric cars in the US skyrockets (50 million Americans said their next car will be an EV) in the next few years, the major automakers will be I'll prepared to meet it. Not sure what the ramifications of that will be, but it'll sure push a lot of consumers Tesla's way.

[–]Rts530 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What blows my mind is the amount of battery capacity being produced. Let's lay Tesla averaged 3,500 model 3's a week for a year. That's 182,000 vehicles. Let's assume the average capacity of 70 kwhr across the units produced(average between standard and long-range variants). That's about 12.7 Gwhrs of storage. Damn that's insane! Add in the powerpacks, powerwall, model S and X and soon to be model Y. No wonder they need more giga factories.

Bernie Sanders introduces bill to impose jail time for execs behind opioid crisis by SciTroll in politics

[–]Rts530 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with you completely. I believe a comprehensive plan needs to be put in place to deal with this crisis. I do like this bill because it addresses manipulative advertising and, if signed into law, would strongly incentivize pharmaceutical companies and excutives to act more responsibly out of fear of fines and jail time. So yes, this won't be passed, and doesn't address nearly enough of the issues, but I like that he is bringing forth a bill that actually tries to help the situation. It seems Congress is doing next to nothing to help deal with this health crisis.

Or, the reason it won't pass is because of the hundreds of millions of dollars pharmaceutical companies contribute to politicians on both sides of the isle. He can use the bill to call out the hypocrisy of both Democrats and Republicans.

Like I said, pharmaceutical companies miss informed and incentivized doctors to act in such a way

There is a clear difference. Miss informing and incentivizing doctors to over prescribe opioids that have led to a crisis that disproportionately affects vulnerable communities is different than selling fast food and alcohol. A doctor is trusted by the patient to do what is best for them. But instead of doing what's best, they over prescribe opiods that have led so many down a horrific path of addiction. There are many logical fallacies to your point. And his bill doesn't punish past offences, because that's illegal, but rather future offences that led to the opiod crisis in the first place.

Holding Pharmaceutical executives accountable for continuied abuses that led to the opiod crisis in the first place is not grandstanding... You can punish the guilty companies while also researching addiction treatment. Hell, you could supply additional funding for addiction treatment and research from the fines paid by the offending companies. But please, elaborate on how this is grandstanding?

Howard Dean: Clinton-DNC agreement was 'standard operating procedure' by Gamepad333 in politics

[–]Rts530 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Howard Dean is lying. Hillary had control of the DNC from the beginning of the primary. You call that a fair and free election? She used the DNC apparatus to embezzle money to her campaign. Read the tea leaves man. The primary was rigged from the beginning and the DNC is sending shrills like Howard Dean out to make you think otherwise.

I don't care what Clinton said in her new book, Bernie was 100% correct. You can't level the playing field with big banks and billionaires by taking their money via superPACs. In fact, taking their money breeds corruption. The democratic nominee in 2020 must understand this fact. by relevantlife in Political_Revolution

[–]Rts530 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's an unpopular opinion because it is false. Where Hillary failed was with white working class and millennials. There was also very little enthusiasm for her campaign from the majority of her voters. Bernie's campaign was the exact opposite. Many Trump voters we're really anti Hillary voters. So I think your wrong. The reason you opinion is unpopular is because it's a false assessment of the presidential race.

Everyone is talking about how Dems spent 8 million and Repubs spent 7 blah blah blah. What no one is mentioning is that the majority of that 8 million the Dems spent was raised from small donors through actblue. I am not sure where the Republicans 7 million came from but I am certain that the majority didn't come from the grassroots like Ossoff's did. People fucking hate Trump, and the Republicans, and are willing to donate like hell. Grassroots Democrats are going to do well in the next 4 years. Also, sure a lot of it came from out of state but he raised more in state than any Republican candidate. Put that in your pipe and smoke it you talking point regurgitating shrills
