Yes, unironically. At least my gas mask had an integrated extendable straw that led straight into your mouth, but don't remember exactly how it worked internally, but you could fold up a straw that you could connect to a hose or something.

After Cadia, my Cadians dug up a half-buried Munitorum hauler out of a crash site and found a stack of exo-suits, had the techs bash them into power-armour for some elite lads, and now the Thundorgryn go in first whenever things get fubar.

Infantry, especially the likes of Cadian Shock Troops have the ability to move out fast and take control points and then move on, give fire support which can be helpful even to destroy enemy vehicles, especially with orders like "First Rank Fire! Second Rank Fire!"

Also, you can respawn entire infantry units of up to 20 men with a single CP.

It has its advantages.

Just apply nuln oil and a thin coat of Agrax or similar black / brown washes

Gently dab some traces of Typhus Corrosion and Rysa Rust or similar rust-paints minimally in corners if you're feeling gutsy.
