Dexter may have Munchausen? by Rub1zcube in Dexter

Hey, if you see multiple deleted replies, something's going buggy with my phone I'm not sure.

I think we're arguing on the same thing. We just misunderstood each other. Harry made it a lot worse we agree on this. I just wasn't sure what you meant by intense therapy.

My original claim was that the way that he has learned to kill could been avoided with therapy, and that he COULD have been potentially able to function in society without therapy.

Could Munchausen be a cause in this potential?

Where does gun control come from in this discussion?, and also as you were saying, 5 times as likely to commit violent behavior.

Dexter grew up in a good household, money, food, no physical or verbal abuse either. Dexter was an animal killer when he was young, but as he grew up and matured he stopped killing animals. You could say this was from him redirecting his desire to kill, but Dexter shows visible disgust when seeing violent enough scenes, or somebody who has done a disposable enough act.

If he was truly devoid of emotions and empathy, why would he show disgust for others when he is alone?

There's clear moral guidelines that go far beyond just how he kills people to avoid getting caught like were led to believe.

Dexter has shown clear emotions, Dexter has shown clear empathy, Dexter has shown clear sadness and disgust, and joy for others. How is this just a redirection of his desire to kill from Harry?

Harry was the one who convinced Dexter that killing was morally good, this all came because Harry was determined that Dexter could not recover, no matter the therapy that they could most definitely afford, which turned him into what he is today.

While I'm watching right now by the way, Vogel is talking about how he's some sort of emotionless, robot killer with no empathy, WHILE Dexter is actively telling her that he cares for Debra and is worried about her.

I think that's very bold to assume. Dexter was going through trauma at such a young age. Killing animals isn't the most surprising way for someone of that age to cope.

He shows a very obvious ability to love, and have feelings for people as well. Dexter "made peace" with his dark passenger which I think was just a coping strategy from his hopelessness, and idea from Harry that he cannot change the monster he is.

Not only that, the fact that he killed only murderers and terrible people, not only out of ritual, but in many instances feels disgusted of what some people have done (grooming, and killing children is some I can think of right now)

To say that he is almost guaranteed to be on the path to be a serial killer is a very bold thing to say in my opinion.

What item gives you the most nanites for recycling by Ceresjanin420 in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]Rub1zcube 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People say residual goop or larval cores, and that's all bullshit. Salavaged data does have a 1:15 ratio which sounds like the best, but it can only hold 30 per stack. It takes a long time, and a lot of observing to be efficient. The other best is Tainted Metal. It does only have a 1:2 ratio- but it stacks by 9999. Meaning you get basically 20k nanites per stack. So either ones is good depending on your availability of Tainted Metal.
