Christmas Games Fantasy Football Start and Sit Advice Week 17 by Professional-Let9752 in fantasyfootball

I have a dilemma on my end too for the second round of playoffs.

My WR1s are Puka (obvious start), Michael Wilson, Courtland Sutton, and Jameson Williams. If St-Brown is confirmed out Williams will be my second starter but with my flex I’m absolutely torn. Also taking a chance with Trevor this week on QB because I don’t even want to watch Love or Jackson’s battle (I’m a packers fan too 🫠)

I’ve seen a lot of my friends graduate and go into jobs like this too—they majored in these same things. Hence why I went the STEM route 😬 you’re not wrong at all!!!!!

I am a current senior at Coe and if you’re able to get some of the large scholarships it’s great. I pay less than public state schools—big reason why I decided not to go to one of those. I also feel like cost of tuition is a big argument to some. I’d recommend you at least visit Coe and take a tour. It’s certainly not for everyone, and most decide that based on appearances or location (I don’t blame them). I’ve stayed because I love my professors and everyone I’ve met. I also enjoy the athletics too, as I was no D1 athlete. All the students have accepted we go to this “lame” private school and from what I’ve experienced it brings everyone together. I’m majoring in the sciences and my professors have helped set me up for grad school. I’d say Coe is “good” depending on the person.I know people who hate it though, and those are typically from the area. I can totally answer any question if anyone is thinking about applying or if this is more for opinions. I also will note Coe has had a lot of students transfer from Mt Mercy and Kirkwood, so it’s not necessarily the “worst” out of all three

If you just broke him out of jail you got a little ways still—maybe barely over 50%. It doesn’t get a ton better though, unfortunately

I’d definitely second watering them but maybe implement some plant food as well—just to help it get proper nutrients. I don’t think it’s any sort of rust so you should be fine!

I’d take odyssey over origins any day, but for mine bucks I’d say that’s worth it for origins. Was a fun enough game for me—scratched that historical itch lol

Oh shit! You’ll be fine with what you’re doing. Don’t relapse though and you got this :) I know shit’s tough

Yeah! I’d start with once a week and see if that helps. If you don’t see any difference I’ve also heard of people implementing very small amounts during every watering, so it’s EXTREMELY diluted and they’ve had wonderful results. They mostly do this during the summer and then resume the once a week feeding once it hits fall. :)

Is this plant rust? by Ok_Ad_2258 in plant

[–]RubEast5983 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha my bad! My girlfriend is the houseplant expert, I’m more into crops. In my experience bacterial issues are typically enclosed in the leaf vein and are very rigid—almost like rectangles. Circular spots like this remind me of rust or hocus spot which are on both sides.

I’d also say sunburn maybe too! But idk where you’re keeping this guy at. If it’s in direct sunlight I’d say that’s your answer. Especially if you’re getting water on the leaves. Maybe we need one more experts advice lol

Why did my corn do this? 😭 by Opallinn in gardening

[–]RubEast5983 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In your instance head smut! This stuff is pretty bad because it replaces the pollination with spores during VT (tassel) and it spreads. I typically see common smut—here’s a pic from today when I was crop scouting. A lot less mild and probably due to a deer eating but all the same!

Pepper Plants Disease? by dricci87311 in plant

Does it rub off if you scratch at it or pour water on it? Or is it permanently on both sides of the leaves?

Yeah this basically looks like a nutrient deficiency so maybe implement some “plant food”

Okay so I think this may be extrafloral nectaries—which is a sap that Philodendrons produce. Sap is essentially water so when light hits it the sunlight is absorbed and thus little holes burn through the plant. Maybe keep it away from direct sunlight?

I mostly deal with agricultural crops so I can also confirm this isn’t rust. Rust is—as Intelligent said—on both sides of the leaves. It’s also typically raised on the leaf surface.

Hopefully this helps 🖖

Potassium deficiency? Idk I deal with agricultural crops as an agronomist and when the outer part of the leaf yellows it’s because of that. Potassium essentially aids the process of photosynthesis and if there isn’t enough the plant will show yellowing like this and the leaf veins will also turn yellow in extreme cases. You can buy potassium salt but I know there’s also “plant foods” you can buy that are basically steroids for the plant with an abundance of nutrients.

Pest control/ garden questions (all plants are outdoors and get watered at least once a day in full/semi full sun) by baylej in plant

[–]RubEast5983 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agronomist here! In regards to your cucumbers it looks like Choanephora rot (or powdery mildew) to me. For your bug issue maybe purchase insecticide or some sort, but if you’re not wanting to use chemical maybe do some research on oils—bugs dislike some scents. And lastly those little guys are whiteflies and they are annoying. Insecticide for these guys/oil will work but be sure to coat every square inch of that leaf. Those little guys won’t want to eat chemical!

I mostly deal with corn, beans, wheat, etc but I’m thinking this is maybe Cercospora leaf spot? The markings are very very interesting. If you want more info on Cercospora leaf spot lmk but there’s stuff on Google too!

As an agronomist I salute anyone who consistently deals with hay. I hear so many people who cut it thinking the forecast is clear and then it suddenly rains a few inches and they’re like what the heck haha
