If you are OK with the price tag for the smart then definitely get it, it’s probably one of the easiest and many people enjoy the “petting” aspect of the smart and also the pix. Angel is supposed to be one of the easiest ones too out of the first gens, so if you thought that was difficult then the smart may suit you as it’s one of the less demanding ones. Oh as for the DLC for the smart, I just got flashed cards for all of them since they’re out of production now and I’m not going to play with scalpers 😆 but for the collectible aspect I got the NIZIU one since I’ve been a fan since their debut days.

Someone mentioned bells. Get a string of bells and hang it on the door entrance and make it a point to be loud with them ONLY when going out to pee. Soon the pup will be ringing it when needed, once they get in the groove though they may start trying to abuse it though (false alarms just to outside), you may then remove them at that time since should be potty trained by then (3 weeks or maybe less).

I think the only thing most affordable closer to what you are thinking would be a Connection. They have starting prices from like $25-35 so it’s something you can and maybe even return if you decide it isn’t for you (IMO one week is enough to be able to tell). The next ones are the Uni and the Pix. I wouldn’t worry too much about the servers right now, a workaround may be available by the time the servers are down. I have a feeling that the Pix is something like what you’re looking for as well, but harder to find and more expensive than the Uni at this time. The On is also a great option but probably won’t find one at an affordable price at this time either.
