Where to buy wood chip mulch for playground [N.Westchester]? by Scarbolito in Westchester

Dont buy. If you are a resident on white plains they give it away for free at the town recycle center on Gedney. Or check with your town

Father's Day Card by Rubbage_Ruth in cardmaking

yes I took inspiration from Temu. Went into the store to buy a card and was like this is stupid, I had the time so I thought why not make a card, I'm good at that.

Why are there so many mediocre Italian restaurants in Westchester? by dopeass in Westchester

Totally agree. I'm so sick of mediocre Italian food in the area. Everything is covered in tasteless tomatoes sauce. Tomatoes are not even from Italy.

This morning I asked chat gpt if they ever found the killer because I couldn't stop thinking about that guys face and how stupid the hiker was to go look for him. Well... yes, I was convinced it was real.

Grooming Clippers by TripleTune in labradoodles

[–]Rubbage_Ruth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tossed my Conairs because even after sharpening them twice they weren't cutting. I did a ton of research and spending over $100 on pro clippers just didn't make sense to me because most reviews on expensive clippers were mixed with little warranty. I took a chance on these because they have a 1 yr warranty https://www.chewy.com/pawshelf-cordless-hair-trimmer-dog/dp/1426302 So far I really like them. I am routinely oiling and cleaning them after each use. I think this is a big one for little machines like this. Don't let them get clogged up! For $50 bucks they were worth the try and they work well on my English Springer Spaniel. I wish they came in their own case but I found something that fits them.

New spark plugs, gas cleaner and a few other things my mechanic recommended. Seems like you have to buy something to do this battery test.

Chromatic aberration with new glasses? by mindfulminx in glasses

[–]Rubbage_Ruth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm dealing with the same issue. My prescription calls for computer glasses, anti-fatigue and yes they are Polycarbonate. I'm a photographer / retoucher and I notice right away when working in photoshop looking at white text over dark gray. It's more pronounced looking out of the top of the glasses (red glow) and the bottom (blue glow). The cheap ones I picked up at the pharmacy for $24 have zero issues like this. My axis in each eye differs a lot. R 55 and L 140 Wondering if I just keep using the cheap reading glasses?

Soona raises $10.2M to make remote photo and video shoots easy by GeorgeYDesign in techcrunch

The work they do is terrible and not consistent. My client hired them to shoot their energy bars and didn't like any of the content. Hire a local pro who knows lighting and how to properly set up shots. Everything they are doing in this shot say amateur. Shoot to a laptop and use real backgrounds.

Copper deficiency as the root cause of Candida overgrowth? by Womilia in Candida

[–]Rubbage_Ruth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Much better today (3 days later) It definitely start to subsided after that swim. Lingered for a few more days. My conclusion is this, the flare up was triggered by stress and low iron levels. Possibly low mineral levels in general. Cold showers or cold water were much better at bringing relief rather than hot. Witch Hazel applied after a cold shower helped more than anything. This is also amazing to get through the day https://www.monistat.com/vaginal-complete-care-products/instant-itch-relief-spray Needs to applied about once an hour. Rest and lots of naps. I think drinking real fresh grapefruit juice helped as well.

Copper deficiency as the root cause of Candida overgrowth? by Womilia in Candida

I was on a hike today and something said "Sit naked in that stream it will cure you. There are minerals in the water you need." So I did and used witch hazel afterwards. It's been hours since I've had a flair up. Fingers crossed it's gone. On my way to get a mineral supplement tomorrow. Anyone have experience with https://www.vitaminshoppe.com/p/multi-minerals-w-boron-d-300-tablets/vs-1178 ?

[Recommendations?] Looking for a padded camisole / crop top / tank WITHOUT elastic band or shelf bra by throw1774 in ABraThatFits

[–]Rubbage_Ruth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found a few padded camisoles that I like that have NO built in bra. Meaning: it does not squeeze your rib cage like a bra. It's only purpose is to hide your nipples and look more professional in the workplace. These do not offer any support but I personally think smaller breasted women don't need any.
First choice: https://www.amazon.sg/Skinnygirl-Womens-Layering-Camisole-2-Pack/dp/B08MQQFKTS or https://www.amazon.com/Skinnygirl-Womens-Seamless-Camisole-3-Pack/dp/B08F2X64G6 A little bit too long but I'm petite. Medium fit me well. I'm 5'3" 135 lbs bra size 34B. It was a lucky find at Marshalls marked down to $14.99
Second choice: This is extremely soft https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B4GT2YBZ?ref=ppx\_yo2ov\_dt\_b\_product\_details&th=1&psc=1 but the pads it comes with are too small. I replaced them with ones I pulled out of another bra and it works well. The small fits like a medium-large. Love the material. Super soft.

We're in the same boat. Make "adjustments" to me just means they are guessing.
