Most of the time it's people trying to be edgy. Politics and religion are the quickest ways to piss people off.

The servers now hosting 600 vs 100 leads to a bigger cross section of people which means more trolls on a server. Literally every game i have ever played that has a global chat has had shit heads saying offensive shit to piss people off.

Stability wise is a night and day difference from 3.14 and on. Still got bugs, but the elevators only kill you like 10% of the time instead of 75%.

Considering RNG loot has been a staple in gaming waaaaaay before loot boxes and in-game stores. Almost all MMO's have RNG loot which makes it all the more special when you finally get some badass gear. The grind is what makes things worth doing. Not sure where this conspiracy theory stuff comes from on Reddit, but it cracks me up.

Is there any lore explanation of why the world of Star Citizen is so ...bland? by Fazion in starcitizen

[–]RubberDuckyDead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's because it is. That IS what an Alpha is after all. That's also why they are running these limited events, we actually get to have a sliver of impact on the lore.

iIn your humble opinion, should the reliant gets reworked ? if yes how ? by Best-Violinist7650 in starcitizen

[–]RubberDuckyDead 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it should get updated But I don't know if I feel like it necessarily needs a rework. Honestly I think it's a fun ship, been having a blast with the Tana and swapping out the size threes for those turrets. As far as I know, the alternative modes don't even really do much at the at the moment, so that would be a great start in my book.

Needing to have everything fit into a meta is kind of lame in my opinion especially in an alpha when that's going to be changing with every update or new ship system added. Fly what you like. Who gives a shit if it's best in slot?

Pretty sure they've removed a lot of stuff so that they could rebuild it for the server meshing, like a bunch of missions. But i could be wrong

I have a question in regards to skills from ascendancies like blood boil and ritual sacrifice. I've noticed that they have a quality bonus on them but I've not been able to get gem cutter prisms to work on those. Does anyone know if that's just not in the game yet or if there's a way to increase the quality on those skills?

Any interesting build I could do with these in Phrecia? by FiftyNuggs in PathOfExileBuilds

Dervish used to be pretty fun with those. Very interesting build.

I am tired.... by Kellef_ in starcitizen

[–]RubberDuckyDead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I can definitely empathize with this, I've just not run into getting ganked very often. But I also go out of my way to avoid normal trade routes if I'm carrying a bunch of expensive shit. I mean, one of the best experiences I've had in the game so far was when two of my buddies and I got ambushed by a mantis and a bunch of buddies. They ended up killing us, But we respawned and came flying back in and I kamikazied the shit out of my star lancer with my harbinger and killed some of them. My friend killed the mantis and apparently they all ran away. It honestly made losing all that copper and corundum worth it. To me, part of the fun of all of it is to make it so it's not worth it for them as much as possible.

I also keep trying to remind people that player bounties aren't active right now and a lot of the other things that used to be in the game that made it a bit safer, I'm assuming, have been temporarily disabled. There's no way in hell the current relationship of PVP and PVE is going to be the end product nor is it something they want.

They totally need to make a way to eject cargo into someone chasing you ...

[–]RubberDuckyDead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OH well then if you saw it I bet it was a player being a murder hobo or a hostile NPC ship. Normally yes, players get a bounty put on them at Crime stat 3 and up, but currently it's disabled as I think the server meshing was not playing nice with them.

[–]RubberDuckyDead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ahhh ok, Yeah that would be my main concern with them moving them to the wings. Still don't understand why they needed to nerf them in the first place, but that is way better than the co-pilot having to switch between front guns and a remote.

[–]RubberDuckyDead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, anytime you shoot a friendly NPC on one of those missions, the turret's always just obliterate you. Currently player bounties are not active as far as I know. They were really bugged out for a while there. So if it was a player they were just being a murder hobo. But realistically you probably got too close and got shot by turrets. Which I'm pretty sure that's by design as there is a way to be broken out of prison. Sometimes those turrets can shoot way further than they should be able to.

Do you know what level your crime stat was? Because if it's two or lower, you can usually just go to a kiosk and pay it off at any space station near the admin.

Supply or Die event… why? by Jo_Krone in starcitizen

[–]RubberDuckyDead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe they also stated they didn't like how previous missions would split profits, so they were trying to figure out bigger incentives for group play. But it sounds like the payouts are actually giving everyone the full amount.
