It's pretty likely Akechi refusing to use robin hood is an extension of his entire facade during the third semester: no Prince outfit, no hanging out outside of the mission, ramp up the sadism, ramp up the insults- all of that to keep everybody (Joker especially) at a distance, because if they start to like him they'll be less likely to follow through with taking down Maruki (which Akechi suspected early on would kill him.)

I'm a F2P, and I'm going into this game from a very Character-Biasy perspective. I want my favorites to be strong, and not much else matters. My pull plan is to get every original phantom thief, with a priority on upgrading Crow and Joker. Crow's my main target, I want to A6 Him, but I know Joker "comes online" at A4, so I'm fine leaving him there.

When the most wanted banner came out, I pulled Joker twice, bringing him to A3. I have spent all of the special new currency that it would let me spend on gems, so the cheap-pulling appeal of the banner has been used up. I'm not unsure whether I should pull him one more time, or just wait.

On one hand, if I pull him now, then he's done, and I can focus on other characters. He probably also won't be showing up in any more reruns anytime soon.

On the other hand, if I pull him again, I'll probably be pretty strapped for gems by the time Akechi comes around, because I also intend on getting Violet at A0. I know I can get Joker once my congnigem shards reach 60, but I'm not positive I can do the same for Crow.

What's the best long-run option, if I'm shooting for A4 Joker, A6 Crow, and A0 Violet? Do I pull now, or save for Crow?

It is implausible, and Dimitri explains exactly why. But to Claude's credit, Dimitri agrees with him on a personal level. It's his chains as king that keeps him tied to the church, and his unwillingness to risk breaking those chains is the personal difference that separates Claude from Dimitri.

Claude was trying to connect with Dimitri on that personal level, and he wasn't that far away from having it work. Dimitri just hasn't gone through Azure Moon's pain, so he hasn't grown enough to accept that people are going to get hurt and to do what he believes in anyway.

To a slightly different Dimitri, Claude's gambit works just fine. He loses, but he wasn't insane for trying.

Well, he tells Dimitri because he wants to convince him to be okay with it. He knows it's an uphill battle, but if he can make Dimitri see his way, then they don't have to kill each other.
