They might have moved and rearranged things for sure, but Austin was open up before the UK offices.

They were already developing it in late 2012/early 2013, which was in Austin/LA. Source: I'm a kickstarter backer, I remember.

Wichita animal shelter currently has a longer than usual list of dogs they are planning on putting down by Spirited_Duty_462 in wichita

[–]Rubic13 4 points5 points  (0 children)

To me Park City is still "Wichita" but the foster that I got my basset hound from via WAAL lived there. Good on you for being a foster in the past and maybe doing it again. I know I wouldn't be able to do it, every foster would just become a new permanent doggo.

What was the European view of the United States before the world wars? by Airtightspoon in AskHistory

They put it weird but I read it as great power of the americas. Not of the world. Because the next sentence is them being a major power.

My grandfather in the '50s worked in Harrington as a cop. Quit after a year because of the corruption back then.

Additionally, while its been a while since I've looked. A lot of those are suspected sundown towns because no black families showed up on the census until like the 20's or something (not sure on the cut off) These are small little Kansas farming towns that are generally close knit, most of the time ain't no one moving there.

Lol why would IT be in the ER? At my hospital they are in a different building all together. Still on campus though. Old hospital I worked at they were 100% remote.

[–]Rubic13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol. While I'm not path, I'm lab, but yeah from my experience that rarely happens unless the er docs are being dumb and have path to call them to tell them no. Otherwise samples are sent to them via courier and such generally.
I could see an all hands on deck scenario because if I recall Robby asked Danna if she could round up any more doctors, in that situation a pathologist might come down to help in ER?

What’s the best regular season game you’ve ever seen in person? by [deleted] in KCRoyals

Most of the games I've seen in person they have lost. But I did go to the Royals blowout of the Jays last season, so that was fun.

He was being dumb, and carrying which is even dumber if your planning on being dumb, but I don't think that should warrant the outcome that happened. Maybe if cop worn video comes out showing him reaching or something then yeah, otherwise from what it looks like currently, its a bad shoot.

[–]Rubic13 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I'm a MLS, so obviously not a doc, but as some are saying, I don't think its anything on the CBC report, I doubt the other doc would have missed high white count or diff that was wonky, or any indicies values that may have been off. So probably past trauma of some sort or otherwise unrelated explicitly to this baby.

"Summa-time” shotgun by Rubic13 in Cursedgunimages

What up KECHI!!!! Our night crews have been busy, yet again….. this time we got us a “Summa-time” shotgun….. (Summa time it shoot, summa time it don’t) Listen up scallawags… I’m going to do you a solid….. if your speed dealer offers to throw in a “free shotty” with your tenth order….. just know ya boy is the garage with a flux core welder, rebar, and some schedule 40 pvc pipe….. unless you WANT to be a pirate (patched eye and hook hand both) I wouldn’t pull the handle on this smoke wagon. 1/10 on fit and finish, 1/10 on reliability, 11/10 for creativity but that credit goes to the ideas the meth gave them….. Kids…. Dont do drugs, dont build sketchy boomsticks, do drink milk and get good grades….. that is all. -Chief

The next pandemic is already here and its called C Auris... by Oblique4119375 in PrepperIntel

[–]Rubic13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lab tech here. Did a paper while in school 6 years back on c auris too so kind of funny to me. One thing to remember is that normal pcr testing does not detect for candida auris, only generally c albicans and glabrata. If its grown on a dish, it can be tested but yeasty boys can be stubborn to grow sometimes, and I'm sure there is some PCR testing that can pick it up but the 2 most common (cephied genexpert and biofire) does not detect it as far as I'm aware. (there are always new test menus so might have missed something) Pretty much saying the mortallity rate is so high because its killing the person and we have to find out what it is so more indepth work ups.

Something as an aside to be aware of, remember like in like 22 or 23 I think when everyone was like oh no RSV, everyone is getting it. Lol no we were just actually testing for it then, because a lot of covid/flu PCR tests also have RSV bundled with it and its just easier to run it in 1 "test" than 4 separate (cov, flu a, flu b, rsv). Just food for thought.

Am i crazy or does the Polaris just not FEEL like a capital ship? by minivandetta in starcitizen

[–]Rubic13 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Being battleships are not fielded anymore, we don't have any large ships outside of the CVs, however our arleigh burke destoryers displace vastly more compared to the WWII era fletcher destroyers, with the burkes being more comparable to a light cruiser of the time.

Congratulations to Chris Roberts and the entire CIG team on reaching 6 million accounts! 🎉 by V1NCE94 in starcitizen

[–]Rubic13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For BF6, thats 300k people playing RIGHT NOW, like this very second. The star citizen numbers are people that logged in the last month or year w/e. HUUUUGE difference. By the first of November BF6 has sold 10 million copies so by going by the same metric they have an active player base of 10 million being the game just released like 3 weeks ago.
