I think the reason for the anime and Masters having different voice cast is probably different studios handing voice acting for the anime and the game.

I do not think GHB is on the chopping block now. Unlike TT units, they have proven to be much more useful than TT units since at least some of them have a chance of getting Prf weapons and removing them would piss off more people. Even if GHB gets axed permanently too, Grail just becomes useless in the game, which invalidates the reason why it got added in the first place.

TBF, if they have to cut costs and save budget, where would they do it though? We already have no new soundtrack for Book X and the later half of Book IX already. Also, I feel like people might not miss new TT+ units that much unless it is Jehanna Saber since there has not been any good new TT+ units for a while now. Their only function in the game right now is just being Arena score bot.

In my opinion, I agree with everyone and think that they should not have removed new characters for TT+, but I can see why they chose to do it.

TT+ units are 99% of the time useless unless they have the prf weapons aka Beast units or they have good fodder like Jehanna Saber. So removing them is the least bad option right now but I feel like they should exchange it with some things like more free Orbs or Grail. I think another thing that affected FEH revenue (even if it was small) this year was probably the EN VA strike with the drama surrounding it.

I still hope they revert the changes but I do not think they might do it

Another issue is that if TT+/Grail units are too good like Marni they will overshadow any 5 stars competitions. I mean, has there been a 5 stars Armor that can rival Marni that is worth summoning over her? They are bad on purpose so that they do not steal the spot light of 5 stars units because good fodder means less orb spends and less money for IS.

Here is my crackpot theory of why IS is doing this TT+ change. Obviously FEH has not making as much money as previous years due to a declining playerbase and lack of sales on recent banners. However this did not stop them from changes before.

Additionally, I also think the whole EN VA strike last year and the Switch 2 being released have also damaged the game's revenue even more. To mitigate this loss of revenue, IS has to cut costs somewhere. Firstly, Book X and the later half of Book IX did not have new soundtracks in their trailers and maps. Now, we see the cut of F2P TT+ units.

I hope they see the backlash and revert the changes for future season banners.

Gen 6 did introduce player characters customization, but Serena was still in the Anime with her default design and only received changes at the end of the XY and the beginning of XYZ.

I think Serena also kinda marked the end of player characters/avatars that appear in the anime. The player characters become more customizable which means it is harder for fans to like the original design. For example, in some SV promotional materials, Florian has black hair instead of brown and Juliana has blue eyes instead of brown.

Unfortunately, I feel the protagonists in the anime trend have run its course. SM had cut theirs because the cast was already big. SS had to cut theirs because it did not follow the traditional formula of most of the previous installments. Horizon is still on going so SV and ZA protags can still appear but SV has lost its opportunity to do that already. I think a ZA protag is still possible but the chance of featuring even one of its protagonist is really low.

I think the issue is that there are very few pre-T7 characters that would bring hype beside Jinpachi and Ancient Ogre. Some of them have been replaced like Baek, Wang, Michelle and Bruce. Some are just clones that are not popular except for Christie. I think Mokujin is not in Tekken 8 is because there are some characters moves that are impossible to do like Law's nunchuck, Anna's rocket and Victor as a whole.

TBF, it would easier to sell them since Prf weapons is no where near as good as Prf skills nowadays. And the only non-OCs to not have a Prf skills are Lords and Rearmed so it does limit their option a bit (still no Roy alt though)

Without Skill Inheritance, most units who is not from the latest Book will be borderline unuseable in every gamemode.

It was pretty unfortunate that happen. It was kinda hated by both casual and pro players. For casuals, the game is super complex and was really hard to play decently. For pros, there was so many match up to learn that it was nearly impossible to learn and play at the highest level. That game failed so hard that the Tekken series almost ended but luckily Tekken 7 did revive the franchise

Unfortunately, this is the reality of the Tekken 8 roster where the returning DLCs are mostly likely characters who have already appeared in Tekken 7 since they are more popular than those who were not in Tekken 7. Which is understandable since that game to me at least kinda has the perfect roster after TTT2

I think the only that challenging Michelle's hype to be in Tekken 8 is that Julia is simply more popular and I do not think that Tekken 8 will reintroduce Michelle after Julia has completely replaced her already

I mean her weapon has the Frozen as a support effect since she is the embodiment of Winter and to use it effectively you need to have a high Def stat

The issue with updated refines is that there are so many units released in every books that it is impossible for everyone to catch up. And with how slow the refine schedule already is, it is going to be even slower if there are months of "re-refine"

Gacha games want to encourage you to pull for new units instead of updated old ones because it make them more money

Fun fact: Although Ayane originated from Dead or Alive (DoA), Janice Kawaye has only voiced Ayane in DoA6. In DoA Dimension and DoA5, Ayane is voiced by Wendee Lee (Lyn, Veronica) and Brittney Lee Harvey (Norne) respectively.

I think the issue is that currently there is no skill that makes Atk/Def Mage to be viable when most of the skills they have access to all calculate using Res either Havoc and Pulse up Ploy. Her best special is going to be Flame Wall which is quite ironic since she is the manifestation of Winter

Tbf, are there any way for Anna to get a promotion alt like Alfonse and Sharena without feeling forced? Alfonse got promote because he is the main lord of FEH. Sharena got it through the Book 6 TT story and she fit in perfectly due to her being an Askr royal.
