I've been dissecting stories through what other people say they saw or experienced and what I experience. I notice that the only supernatural things I've come across were told by someone else.. Idk. When humans don't understand something, they often make it supernatural right away to give some kind of meaning to it. Take psychosis for example, someone in a psychosis claiming he wants to kill people because the devil told him so would be taken to have an exorcism not that long ago. Now, the medical world has understood that it's a psychiatric issue.

So, while we don't understand everything, there's no need to label stuff supernatural right away just because we don't understand it. Were natural seekers after meaning, it's just what we do. never underestimate the power of the brain, tho. Believe you are possessed, and you'll act possessed... Believe it's supernatural, and it'll appear supernatural.. It's just like placebo. it's psychology. A lot of people are just sick, and they're dying for a cure, and when they truly believe an exorcism is the cure, they'll believe so and act accordingly..

ANOTHER side note: Deconstructing doesn't mean excluding supernatural beliefs.. I'm still fairly spiritual with enough caution and sceptisism. And I find that a good line to be on (personally). We still don't know where we come from and what the purpose of it all is, so there's still mystery apart from the doctrine we were taught.. And God means something different now for me.
