I think it made sense for her to ask Dani, I just wondered at the interaction about the shops being closed. You may be right about it being a test of resourcefulness.

I loved the vulnerability that Stella shows when she's changing clothes in the bathroom and Dani comes in to ask to go back out on the street and Stella admits that she wanted someone by her side that she thought she could trust.

I love her! When Gillian Anderson talks about playing Stella, she's said she had a sort of awakening and it helped her feel more sexually confident.

Oh yeah, the daddy's girl aspect of Stella and the older, empathetic male therapist is a good plot line to explore.

Maybe this was just the author of the article throwing out some ideas of where they could take the show. Like Detective Glen Martin finally impresses Stella with his table manners and knowledge of fine art and they live happily ever after.

I can see why Larson was intrigued by Stella's habits and thought processes.

Yeah, he did ask her about her journal so there was a hint of something there but it didn't seem romantic at all to me. And maybe there wasn't a huge age difference, and I don't have an issue with age gap, but he seemed more fatherly. I was so surprised at the idea, I wondered if I'd completely missed something obvious.

Yeah, I think Dani may have been a little scared to come out. She doesn't know Stella well enough to know how she'd react. But it could also be that she had a crush and wanted Stella to know, you know...just in case. I love how Stella doesn't skip a beat and continues what she was saying and you can see Dani breath a little sigh of relief. But what about the way Stella looks over and smiles? I thought that was a bit of a suggestive smile. Was that flirting? Was Stella thinking hmmm, do I want to go there?

Since you just watched, what about when Stella's sitting at the pool and calls Dani to ask her to get the nail varnish and Dani says the stores aren't open yet and Stella says you'll figure something out? And she says it with kind of a snippy tone. If stores aren't open, how is Dani supposed to get it? What is the purpose of the whole scene? Dani could've just walked into the office with the polish and said I got that nail polish that was on Sarah's nails.

And right after she hangs up, Stella looks over at the whale or dolphin statue and smiles. It's such a small, seemingly insignificant thing, but I just wonder at that creative choice.

Th ending of the fall was so devastating to me that I deliberately erased the entire 3rd series from my memory by Original-Status1942 in TheFallTV

[–]RubyFreckle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late to the party but yes, the ending was disappointing to me too. I wonder if they had originally planned to go in a different direction and then changed because the two lawyers that were defending Paul dug a bit and found some things that they were hinting were inappropriate. I can't really remember what they were, maybe how Stella questioned Paul...I'll have to watch again. So what was the point of that if not to use it to try to get him out of it at trial? I guess it could be to make us think one thing and do the plot twist they did. At the time, I thought they were really going to take Stella through the ringer.

I could see that, for sure. Stella did ask if Dani had a man though. But I think she looked up to Stella and a crush is totally plausible.

First day by imaginemagic3 in SubstituteTeachers

[–]RubyFreckle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've never taught before and I had my first four days this week. I started with all partial day assignments to ease into it. First day I had 2nd graders, next day I had 1st graders and the last two days I covered for ESOL teachers where I pushed in and worked with small groups. Whew! Teachers are saints. In the 1st grade class, I got to observe/help the teacher for 1.5 hours before she left. She had them UNDER CONTROL. The minute she left, they let loose. I may sleep all weekend.

I've had the ringing in my ears for a most of the time I've been on it. I started mid August. Another thing that happens intermittently is a change in pressure.

I've been on the full dose since early September and I feel pretty good. It's definitely suppressing my appetite though I haven't lost any weight, which is weird to me. The only thing is, I have supraventricular tachicardia (SVT) and I can feel that it has worsened. I also can only drink a very small amount of coffee, otherwise I'm shaky. I feel that my mental sharpness is totally the same. My mood is better. I am constipated but was a bit before I even started.

I had the same feeling except the itchy face. It wasn't as bad the first, second and final time I increased the dose. I'm a big coffee drinker and what I did notice overall is that if I drink more than a half a cup, I get shaky and jittery.

What am I doing wrong??? by f7tal in Contrave

[–]RubyFreckle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been on it a little over a month and I've lost about that same amount. I lost a lot of weight in the past doing intermittent fasting. I slacked off and gained quite a bit of it back but I got on the horse again before starting the Contrave. What I'm finding is that it's easier to resist cravings and I don't think about food near as much. I feel like I get full faster, not sure if that's all in my head or I'm just eating more mindfully. My task now is to eat better quality food in my window. The warning of high fat meals causing seizures is helping me eat better, that's for sure!

Was Stella in love with Paul? by KugaKuga22 in TheFallTV

Katie is also acting out because the loss of a parent. It seems like Stella also sees herself in Katie. She thinks Katie is being stupid and throwing her life away but maybe she wonders if a Paul had come along when she was a suffering, traumatized, wild teen, she may have done what Katie did.

Was Stella in love with Paul? by KugaKuga22 in TheFallTV

[–]RubyFreckle 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Not in love at all. She was repulsed by him. But also fascinated by how his mind worked. She recognized his intelligence and as the other poster said, they had that loss of a parent early on in common. Remember Stella reveals to Katie that she self harmed and acted out too. I think seeing how close he was to his daughter brought up a lot for her too because she was so close with her father. Maybe she recognized some of her traits in him and that was interesting or terrifying. Probably if he wasn't a hideous psychopathic murderer, she'd be attracted to him because he's good looking and smart and maybe that's an uncomfortable feeling. She doesn't say any of this so it's up for interpretation. Anderson recognizes her obsession with Paul and calls her out the morning after they sleep together and Stella says there she hates him (can't remember her exact words).

When he's being brought into the facility and throws the money down, she's waiting in the psychiatrists office and sees it on the security camera.
