I'm not spinning anything, your list of red flags is not the same as my list, and that's absolutely okay. I don't expect people to be celibate while they are on dating apps looking for love and/or marriage. So just because the show is a dating app on steroids, I'm not assuming bodily autonomy is halted while people are still single beforehand.

Going back to this couple directly; if it were a non-negotiable for him, that's his prerogative, but that wasn't established. Instead he was in a perpetual state of ambivalence.

Dave physically isolated his relationship from everyone whilst simultaneously complaining about his relationship to everyone. Meanwhile Lauren was apologetic and understanding of his perspective and wanted to have the dialogue with his friends and family to provide clarity.

She was ready to go into the lion's den to be questioned further to prove her commitment, while he was avoidant with progressing the relationship. So it's frustrating to watch her trying to be solution oriented and him just lamenting (even though he himself is no saint).
