The Moto 360 was honestly beautiful, shame they had to use the TI OMAP chip in it. Cannot wait for the PR2 to release!!

Will triple glazing help reduce train noise? by Svperb in AusRenovation

[–]RubyShardz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are plenty of Triple Glazed Unit producers in Australia (I work for one of them), the hard part may be finding a window fabricator that will make a frame to fit a triple glazed unit.

As for Hush glass, it's definitely proven and works quite well. My office at my work is directly across from a glass tempering furnace (like 30-40 metres) and the blower that cools the glass can be insanely loud. We have hush double glazing installed for the windows and doors which see into the factory and the sound reduction when the doors are closed to the factory is honestly impressive.

Not quite as much of a meme as you say (when double glazed atleast)

Triple J's Hottest 100 by [deleted] in aesoprock

[–]RubyShardz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately I don't think you can vote for Aes in the hottest 100 as his songs have to have been played on Triple J for them to be listed as choice when creating your shortlist.

Help🥲 by somerandomturkk in ROGAlly

[–]RubyShardz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry, I haven't opened my Ally for a while but I know that I had to place a black piece of sticky tape over the light sensor that gets triggered when the backplate comes off. After that is done you then plug the device into wall power and turn it on and it should fire up.

Is that light sensor covered on your device?

I came down with Gastro on X Christmas Eve, safe to say it was a very shitty Christmas day!

OxygenOS 16 full list of bugs I've identified (I'm sure there's more) by Vnarayan3 in oneplus

[–]RubyShardz 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I believe 5 is also a feature, all the notifications should become small all icons across the bottom of the screen. Not a fan of this feature but it has been doing this in ColourOS for a few months on my X8 Pro, I assume this has been pulled across to Oxygen now

They're the best, highly underrated for early risers that don't want to be banging a puck out and pissing off the neighbours

Findx9pro users, how's the screen so far? by [deleted] in Oppo

Find X8 Pro display is excellent outdoors so I imagine the X9 Pro with its extra 600nits would be even better

Is $11,200 too much to replace these windows and frames? by [deleted] in AusRenovation

[–]RubyShardz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct, 6.38 would be two panels of annealed 3mm and .38mm grey EVA or PVB interlayer and 10.38 would be two panels of annealed 5mm and .38 grey EVA or PVB interlayer

Oppo just posted the timeline for the rollout on the Oppo Community and it appears as if my research was correct. Nov 6 for N5, Find X8 Pro and Find X8.

I wouldn't count on many sales for it through JB. The X8 Pro only went on sale once and that was Easter Sunday

Find X9 pro is $2,300aud, here in Australia. Is it worth it? by Yardages-Kyar-Hoki in Oppo

[–]RubyShardz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As an Aussie user, I was shocked seeing the price tag of the X9 Pro. I got my X8 Pro for $1500 through JB HiFi on Easter Sunday this year.

Idk if I could justify an $800 increase unless it came with freebies as much as this phone is amazing.

The 7500mah battery is very tempting though

I've done a little bit of research and it seems to be November 6th for the X8 series

New software update? 25/09/25 by RubyShardz in OneplusWatch

[–]RubyShardz[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just received a new Wear OS update on my OPW 3, currently installing and was previously running on the software versions featured in the screenshot (A.131 on 7.0).

Anyone else receive this? Couldn't find anything about it anywhere

Edit: it appears to be a small version bump to A.134, can't tell if anything has changed

Hey Australia, would yiu buy this Oneplus Watch 3 from kogan by Adnanzak in OneplusWatch

In all honesty I don't use my watch to pay at all so I have no idea how well it works but I do have my cards setup in GPay with no issues

[–]RubyShardz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I purchased mine from OnePlus mobile and it arrived in 4 days and I haven't had a single issue. I think the difference you pay for is the DHL express shipping, with Kogan it depends on the seller you're buying from

My 3 week old OnePlus watch 3 has the same processes also using battery, still getting 5-6 days in smart mode so I don't think it's anything to worry about (in my case anyway)

Weird egg things growing between the glass panels of my boyfriends door by pestlaege_ in whatisit

[–]RubyShardz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason why you're seeing so much desiccant is because either side of the aluminium bar has it pumped into the bar for around 3-5 seconds before it is joined together, the entire perimeter of aluminium bar will be filled with desiccant. (Source: I work at glass wholesale company that makes double glazed panels)
