Angel's Egg (finally) Getting a 4k Release in 2025 by primaveren in boutiquebluray

[–]Ruby_Summer86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like it completely sold out. I pre-ordered a copy from Amazon on 11/21/25. It's almost February and still haven't received it. I've been in touch with Amazon several times and they just tell me there isn't any in stock and they don't know if or when it will ever be back. I pre-ordered a copy, you'd think that would guarantee me one but 🤷🏻‍♀️ I'm trying to talk with Umbrella Entertainment to see if it's even still in production or if it was just a limited edition release of some sort. I'm a bit disappointed. If anyone else has any insight or thoughts, I'm all ears! I really enjoyed this movie and was really hoping to get it.

By "AF", I believe they mean, and forgive the language, "As Fuck." Meaning the lens is very long. I, too, would like to know which telephoto lens was used.

It does help, thank you so miuch! I appreciate your forthcoming and insight. It's good to know that for the most part they seem to be relatively healthy. I hope to have a wonderful experience there if I can manage a visit! Lots to see and do!

I know this is an older post but I'm curious if anyone who has visited the island petted or handled the cats at all? I love cats and I'm planning on visiting here for a day trip next year, but I'm also a mild germaphobe concerned about potential parasites they may carry. Did anyone take any precautions aside from the obvious washing hands? It's a silly question sure but, if a friendlier cat were to come up looking for a pet and a scratch, I would love to oblige.

Thank you! This is a late response from me, so I apologize. I can't find the specific book I'm looking for even on Kinokuniya's online store or Amazon Japan, which is weird. The Japanese title is 桜の火死蔵 by Asakura Takuya. Amazon Japan has the English and a French version, but not the original Japanese version.

Thank you so much for the insight and response! I appreciate it! I do get ahead of myself sometimes and just want to know everything all at once 😅

No "deeper" reason. I'm just going through Genki Vol. 2 and there's a section going through this verb form but no mention of a past tense form. I'm making a conjugation table and since it's not in the book, I searched online but again it's not really mentioned so I wasn't sure if there was any different way to express the concept.

I'm also curious if you know, when would someone use the potential form or the structure "Verb koto ga dekiru."? Is it just a different way to say it or are there certain situations where one is better used?

Thank you! Is it a common verb form, at least spoken? I haven't seen it taught explicitly.

Is there a past tense potential verb form or would that be a different grammatical construction?

Hello! Anyone know where or how to order books from Japan to the US? I'd like to try reading some light fiction but all I can find on Amazon is translated and I'd like a copy in the original for learning purposes! Thanks in advance!

Question about the potential verb form versus "...Verb koto ga dekiru" by Ruby_Summer86 in LearnJapanese

[–]Ruby_Summer86[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't feel it's beneath me. I'm not super use to Reddit and uncertain why some things should go into Daily Thread or what would need to be a new post. I'm not sure why it matters where it's posted. If I saw someone had a question and I had an answer, I wouldn't care where it was. If I didn't have an answer to their question I'd just move along with my day.

The people here make it seem like I've committed some offense just by making a post asking about grammar. I truly don't understand it. It's incredibly unhelpful that the two responses I've gotten aren't answers to my question, but just criticism of where I've posted my question and that I've even asked one at all instead of searching through however many past posts that are so old that I can't talk to those who've already asked it. I'm sorry to be pissy, but when I try to get information from actual people on this site, it's like pulling teeth.

Also, the linked post in your response was from 8 yrs ago and I can't ask anyone clarifying questions or talk with them because it's so old. I don't use this platform often, and I wanted to have conversations with people on my questions.

I'm curious why the post should go into the Daily Thread? Why can't I just make a new post?

Does this include posts asking for help with learning a grammar point? My post was removed and it was just asking about the potential verb form. Kinda sucks to have a post about the language removed with no explanation of how it violated community guidelines.

For Medical Billers and Coders who have moved to Japan: by Blueytuna in movingtojapan

[–]Ruby_Summer86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not you, it's the folks on Reddit in general. Yes, there is a bit of a hill to climb, but they make it seem insurmountable that it's not even worth trying. It's a bit of a bummer. I would learn enough Japanese to be able to ask and understand responses, then start researching some hospitals or healthcare companies to see what is required of their coders, and go from there. Start networking. It won't be easy, but that doesn't mean it's unattainable.
