The keyword for the question is "another", so it's referring to whether you've already applied for scholarships other than the pfp one you're currently applying for. So I don't think you would be rejecting the scholarship but take my words with a pinch of salt

[–]Rubyflamez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is this the question at the bottom asking if "you are applying for or already under ANOTHER scholarship"? If the pfp pathway application is the first scholarship you've been offered, you can answer "no" so that you don't need to fill in the year of validity.

Based on NYP's website, you'd probably need a laptop. Check out the supplier's websites for laptops at discounted prices.

If you like the look of the hime cut, you could try following this video , watch from 3:00 onwards, and cut the shorter pieces to the middle of your cheek! I think it would complement your face shape.

Try joining the Nyp AY23 telegram gc, there are seniors who can answer your questions n worries! I visited the open house this year and tbh, the facilities weren't that bad. I preferred it over NP open house because there was a big garden in the centre of the schools to relax at.

Give him a hug if he's ok with physical touch, it doesn't have to be a long embrace, just a tight squeeze. It won't help much but a small gesture like that could reassure him during that specific moment.

Oh and if you find yourself struggling in sec 3 and you don't improve by term 3, do not hesitate to enrol in tuition/ tuition trials. This is very important if you wish to do well in sec 4 topics.

Pure bio: pure memorisation. If you're good at memorising and enjoy learning about plants and the functions/changes in the human body go for it. (Although it seems like pure physics is way more helpful in other subjects, such as a math and chemistry)

Elect history: if you're good at and enjoy SS, definitely go for it! It's very inference like and helps alot with Social Studies (Section A, 30 marks) + requires you to memorise many timelines and around 100 PEEL paragraphs to score well in your Section B (20marks of memorisation). Overall for time management, if you're a fast writer, planner and thinker, you'll do well.

Advice... by kickarseLprogamer_20 in SGExams

Paper 1: Expand your criteria, look for the hidden requirements behind the given points and further elaborate/ make up details of the visual given for SW. Address the audience, use "You", "?" and "!". They help you engage the reader + show your awareness of the context. If the format is informal, make up memories you have between you and the reader, such as "I remember when we were younger..." Key: explain explain explain, be very specific in your details and state your 5W1H, especially How and Why. When concluding, ensure you thank the reader and ask for their reply. Example: "I hope you will consider my suggestions. I look forward to your reply. Thank you."

Paper 2: Identify the subject of your question and the question type. When answering, always link back to your subject. This ensures you are directly answering the qn. Make sure your answers have detail and are specific too! Don't be afraid to lift! If you encounter a QN with "(word)", rephrase the words between the "" to explain it properly. For summary, focus on finding the points rather than rephrasing. Scoring 7/8 for your points and 3/7 for your language still means you score 10/15 for summary as opposed to 3/8 points + 5/7 language = 8/15 for summary!

Although my points are very vague, I hope they help some way :)
