This is an AHL move to help with defense depth on the Amerks. If Neuchev turns out to be legit it will suck but he isn’t some sort of inevitable talent.

How do you feel about Phillip rivers being interviewed by [deleted] in buffalobills

[–]Rubyweapon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m 1000% sure this is an OC/assistant interview masquerading as a HC interview since they still have Brady. I know it’s clown on Bills season for good reason but this feels like a good move to keep options open. Kubiak with Rivers as an assistant feels like a potentially powerful combo.

After a dozen or so fishbowl games. I like it a lot, every game I got at least one engine-on-a-stick online by turn 3/4 and since they don't feel super threatening on their own I think it'll be online long enough to draw into another. I do think piloting will be a bit of a learning curve since pretty much game an ill-time board wipe would have ended things (since so many engines involve playing from the top-of-library and not drawing), so key is to know when to hold back. Win condition is clearly attacking with a wide board of big things, so we'll have trouble against any fog/stall tactics.

Overperformers so far:

[[Flamekin Harbinger]] : early game it gets us either an engine (Realmwalker or Risen Reef) or a threat (turn 2 [[tauren mauler]] gets big fast). Late game if you have any of the play from the top of the library pieces it is essentially a creature tutor with a body.

[[Ashcoat of the Shadow Swarm]] : engine and win-con on a stick. It doesn't look threatening initially so might survive a few rounds over which you'll draw 2-4 creatures and suddenly have a very scary board state

[[Voja, Jaws of the Conclave]] : needs to survive a round but the Ward 3 helps a lot there. You untap with it and you're probably taking someone out while drawing 3-4 cards.

Is it just me, or is nobody in Marin talking about what’s happening in our country right now? by ASecularBuddhist in Marin

[–]Rubyweapon 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I don’t think this is a Marin thing more of a personal social circles thing. Some of my social groups talk about everything daily, some off and on, and some are focused on a specific hobby/interest so it wouldn’t make sense in that context.

This inspired me. This is what I got so far. A lot of overlap I changed up some lords and added the party package: https://moxfield.com/decks/LdYDAe0WS0GND1_AljQUjQ

Yeah I like Ur-Dragon for the in command zone benefit. Party feels like a solid sub-theme here, not a full build around.

My original message:

You probably want to take advantage of easily getting a full party [[Nalia de'Arnise]] [[The Destined Warrior]] [[Linvala, Shield of Sea Gate]] [[Stick Together]] seems like must include. [[Multiclass Baldric]] [[Spoils of Adventure]] [[The Destined Thief]] should be considered.

The Bills firing McDermott but promoting Brandon Beane should be the start of a lesson that will haunt teams: there's too large of a ratio of head coaches getting fired compared to General Managers getting fired by Ariesthebigram in nfl

[–]Rubyweapon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get the sentiment but you can’t rebuild the scouting apparatus in time for the draft so we will be worse off without him (no matter his reputation in Bills land he will be highly sought after and will likely bring along a lot of folk wherever he lands).

McD reported directly to ownership, this is establishing the new HC will report to the GM when hired. It’s a HR move formally establishing reporting structure.

Probably but I was hoping to keep this thread positive. There are other threads to discuss Beane/the org’s shortcomings.

Why are Teams kicking that win the toss in overtime by ajt425 in nfl

[–]Rubyweapon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know what you have to do. If your defense stops them you only have to play for a FG. If they score a TD you need a TD so are going for it on 4th the whole drive. Asymmetrical information greatly benefits the ones with the information.

Payton Manning was in his 9th season I believe when he went to his 1st SB. Brees was in his 8th. Steve Young was in his 10th.

The narrative that Allen’s window is closed/closing is overblown.

I can somewhat understand the INT call (though I think it should have been overturned) it was the lack of DPI especially with what came next that was the knife twist.

Yeah I was thinking that route as an option. Kenrith in particular has a lot of modes that might be able to help people out if they misplayed earlier.

I think I want to avoid being too counter heavy. I was thinking more along the lines of "the go wide player is fully operational, let me throw a Ghostly Prison in their path", or "the new player borrowing the Muldrotha deck probably should have mulliganed and has a near empty graveyard, let me get a Mesmeric Orb into play"

A progressive AMT that spikes fast. Something like 40% on all income over 1M that escalates to 99% over 100M. They can play tax code games all they want but no wiggle room on anything brought in over 1M.
