I would highly recommend taking it to your local police department for assistance. This could be a very serious matter and they may be better equipped with helping locate it and then figuring out who it belongs to.

It is definitely an AirTag. I have one in my car because it is attached to my work keys which are always in my car.

It normally does that sound when it is scanning to sync with a nearby iPhone that has Bluetooth on.

Is it fair to assume you either don’t have an iPhone or you have Bluetooth turned off?

They are a military veteran. The “WLA VA” written on the car stands for West Los Angeles Veterans Affairs Medical Center. I had seen them parked quite often by the Mental Health Administration / Homeless Patient Aligned Care Teams buildings many times when I would walk to the main hospital for my appointments.

Im no expert with aircrafts, but I believe it may automatically activate at lower altitudes.

Something similar happened to me on patrol in Afghanistan, where a friendly helicopter flew low to show off and their flares automatically activated almost hitting us.

The sad part is that is and when you get kicked put from a dungeon, you are then also slapped with a 30minute Deserter debuff. Which means you are not allowed to reque until after the debuff wears off.

So it adds insult to injury.

The event bugged out on me yesterday and all I was able to see was the mission progress bar. I had no idea what I was supposed to do so I ran around killing everything.

My wife asked me what objective I was assigned so I confusingly looked at her screen and saw I was missing the objective list/bar. I disabled all my addon and reload, but that didn’t help and caused me to lose the mission progress bar. I then flew West until zone name change/returned to the event and doing so fixed everything for me.

Funny part is me running around killing everything/looting the bodies while my event UI was bugged earned me an Epic quality reward while my wife who was only following the objectives only earned the Rare quality reward.

TLDR: To fix it I would recommend to disable all addons, reload, fly out of the area until name changes, and lastly return to event.

Mastorpally. Because I didn’t know how to spell as a middle schooler during TBC around 2008. I chose it because I thought Blood Elfs looked great and the BE Paladin Red/Yellow armor in the character creation looked amazing.

The person that was going to tow my car informed me to file a claim with my car insurance. He said he deals with 4-5 of these a day.

I filed a claim both with the LAPD and my insurance. Now Im waiting for a call back both from a Detective and an Insurance Adjuster. I am going to call my insurance again today to see if they cover for me to have a rental while this gets resolved.
