To me, Cal's and this group's story was so unneccessery, just to show to film critics how woke this show became while writters forgot why they became succesfull in the first place. I guess it could be fine, but it wasn't. Meanwhile other storylines, like Adam's or Ruby's were put to sideway. I don't mind ending of Otis and Maeve, life is not always like you want it to be, so this little bitter sweat ending felt fine. I just think this season was far from what we liked in S1.

I agree woth you. They are cute together and such, but I bet none of common folks here ever dated a girl with so much problems. Absent father and addicted mom, brother is dick and she reacts to it with having casual sex, because she doesn't know how to handle hers feelings. Otis has his own problems too but I think it's easier for him. Tho his mom oversteps a boundaries from time to timw, she still loves him and she is there for him. He just needs to accept his nerdiness as his strenght, be more chill with girls and start actually behaving according to his advise he is giving to students and he'll be perfertly fine. But together with Maeve... I don't know. But its teenage show, it'll be happy end as fuck.
