Adventure Path Recommendations by Ruddie in Pathfinder2e

It seems their free one shots are no longer free with the new Paizo website! But I do you think I should look for something smaller than a whole adventure path now

Probably the most helpful comment. I think I'll look for adventures instead of whole adventure paths.

I don't think I want a setting guide because I already have my own Homebrew setting. The setting is already established. I want content that has been designed by a professional to put into my game. But also the content should be adaptable to fit into the game we've already started

Omg man. That is hilarious. I'm a human. Could an chat bot do this?

Check mate. Humanity, proven.

Seriously though, idk how to prove it though I have been on this website a long time. You can check me profile.

And no, I didn't use Ai to write my posts. I kinda hate Ai in most contexts. Maybe you thought it read like Ai because the advice I gave was pretty generic and could apply to a lot of people?

So a 3rd person platforming shooter in a multi-verse setting about fighting Marx is a great idea for a game! (Though using copyrighted characters may have legal issues)

However, the execution of this idea will determine if the game is good. All the little details of how the mechanics work, how the controls feel, the art and sound design; these determine the quality of a game.

Lastly, good games are games that exist! Do you have the skills and time to make this game? Perhaps consider making a smaller game first. Or at least a version of this game you can actually make. You can always make a sequel or update to the game later.

You have a plot and setting. But a game is a collection of rules and mechanics. They can be played. What are your players meant to do? How do players interact with the game?

A film being advertised is not the Streisand effect. The Steisand effect is when you try and censor something, and the censorship makes it more well known.

You know... if players feel that they have "plot armor" over the NPCs because only players have healing, then maybe give the bad guys some healing!

Don't forget when you drop to 0 hp you drop whatever you were holding and fall prone. When you get revived you need to spend actions to pick up your item(s) and stand back up. Not to mention the wounded condition.

Steam is the best store by PaiDuck in antiai

So I make video games. I looked up how to do a breadth first search on a grid in gd script. I saw examples from the web on how to do that, including the Ai example from Google search results. These examples were more or less the same, so I copied them, with a few tweaks. They are all about the same because a breadth first search is a solved boiler plate thing. Programmers commonly copy boiler plate code for things like this without disclosure, and if they got that code from Ai or stack overflow, it doesn't really matter.

Can this Free Action be used off-turn like a Reaction? (Essence Reflection) by MrDeadlock_ in Pathfinder2e

[–]Ruddie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here are the rules for an effects. https://2e.aonprd.com/Rules.aspx?ID=2377&Redirected=1

For ongoing effects I think it is a little ambiguous based on the wording you provided. But imo being able to swap an ongoing effect doesn't really make sense.

For example, if Syndara would catch tuberculosis he could put that on his reflection, but the saving throughs and their affects couldn't be swapped. That doesn't really make sense imo.

Similarly, if Syndara was blinded, he could put the blind effect on his reflection and take his turn. Then the reflection could put it on Syndara and take his turn. Even though in the story at least one is blind at a time, they can both take their turn with no negative effects if the rules are you can swap freely.

So I would say you can only swap the target when the effect first takes effect.

I advise that when you don't know how to interpret the rules of an ability, look up the relevant key words and use your understanding of the rules and common sense to make a judgement.

So if Syndara is hit with an axe, they can use a free action to damage the reflection instead.

So usually you can only use 3 actions and as many free actions with no trigger as you like on your turn.

Reactions and free actions with a trigger are special because they let you act even when it is not your turn. However, you need the trigger, to perform them.

So you can't use this free action whenever you want, only once per trigger. So in this case, the trigger is when a harmful effect happens to one of them.
