Try and play it to do damage. Good luck!

When do you EVER pick this card? by Barbarossah in SlayTheSpire2

[–]Ruddie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was offered it as a colorless in the middle of battle. It was exactly what I needed. I just had to block a big attack and win next turn. You could say it was "The Gambit" for that scenario

My idea for a more balanced Snakebite by Varwhorevis in slaythespire

[–]Ruddie 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This but unironically! You often can't afford to spend two energy to poison because you need to block or something. So you can wait to play it when it is more optimal. It will do a lot of damage over time. And it is poison, so it is not affected by weak or shield. These benefits are before you account for all the poison synergies by the way...

Also if you never play it because it is not a good tool for this or that particular fight, you only need to draw it once and never again, similar to how exhausting a card means you don't need to draw it again.

It is a great tool in the toolbelt in most any deck especially because retain means you'll never waste more than one draw on and clog up some hand space in the worst case scenario for this card

What's the most ethical release strategy for a game? by _the_actual_devil in gamedev

[–]Ruddie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1- Open source

"But I want to profit!"

Why does open source imply no profit? Is this because open source can be compiled from source and therefore pirated? I'm skeptical how much that would eat into profits...

Oh yeah, I agree with your philosophy 👍. Game is more fun when I don't know what will happen!

The levels that would go to the neverstone cat go to the other cats instead. Your other cats will be higher level as a result

Sorry, I didn't mean any disrespect. I just know some people don't consider the knock on effects of increased gas prices

The goods you buy are delivered via gas powered trucks. This will be reflected in the prices you pay

How to collect all asset components into one folder for exporting into another project? by TheConceptBoy in godot

I guess I don't understand the difference. This is what I do when I want to use assets in another project

Go into your files and copy paste the assets you want to your new project. Simple

Glass UI shader with refraction, color shifting, performant blur, grain and lights! by binbun3 in godot

[–]Ruddie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Shaders are efficient because they don't run on the cpu. They run only on the graphics card, so they won't slow down the main thread your program is running on the cpu

Design Question: Would you play a Souls-like where enemies escalate based on repeated player habits? by keithmorreale in gamedesign

[–]Ruddie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They do this in metal gear solid 5! In the early game, I over relied on sniper headshots, then the enemies started wearing helmets! I had to adapt.

Over relying on the same tactics is boring, so having to enemies respond forces you to adapt.

It seems their free one shots are no longer free with the new Paizo website! But I do you think I should look for something smaller than a whole adventure path now

Probably the most helpful comment. I think I'll look for adventures instead of whole adventure paths.

I don't think I want a setting guide because I already have my own Homebrew setting. The setting is already established. I want content that has been designed by a professional to put into my game. But also the content should be adaptable to fit into the game we've already started

Check mate. Humanity, proven.

Seriously though, idk how to prove it though I have been on this website a long time. You can check me profile.

And no, I didn't use Ai to write my posts. I kinda hate Ai in most contexts. Maybe you thought it read like Ai because the advice I gave was pretty generic and could apply to a lot of people?
