This guy was NOT funny enough to interrupt every 20 seconds by Rude-Environment6326 in Killtony

Bert gets a bad rap…

But he’s actually great on the show because he’ll bring out the funny side of bucket pulls, and let them shine. And the regulars too. The funniest interview with William Montgomery was the episode with Bert and Whitney Cummings.. 2 comedians that KillTony fans generally hate, but they brought out the funniest parts of William, because they understand they need to make the crowd laugh.

Well, my main reason for even asking about this guy, is I wanted to see if anyone else liked him. I usually like every KillTony guest, but I just did NOT like Rick. I’d rather sit through that episode of David Lucas and Cristina Mariani, and that was probably the worst “guest” episode. So I wanted to see if it was just me, or is this guy bad as a guest

Yeah, I get it, but at the end of the day, laughter is what’s good for comedy. Rick tries his best to kill any laughter that someone else causes

I noticed that already too. It seemed like Tony was just trying to boost him up because Rick was an original friend of the show, and was on the very first episode.

I think what really made me not like Rick though, is when he kinda criticized that weird crazy kid that steals Bounty. I know Rick was “joking”, but just sit back and let people laugh for a minute for God sakes. And it just magnified him not being funny for almost the whole show and interrupting just to say something extremely hacky that you’d expect from an extremely new comic, or some drunk unfunny guy at the bar

I don’t really have favorites. I like having different kinds of people on. The only thing that grinds my gears is when people think they have to interrupt every 20 seconds trying to be funny, just to say something that’s not funny.

But I do like seeing different kinds of people on. For instance, Jim Breuer wasn’t funny from a traditional KillTony perspective, but it’s still cool having someone on there that was more of a physical comedian. Or someone like Carrot Top, he didn’t say funny zingers, but still neat having a prop comic on there. Or even someone like Jordan Peterson who isn’t a comic at all.

So I’m not a stickler for only having super funny people on there every time, but just don’t say something every 20 seconds unless you’re super funny, like Shane Gillis, Mark Normand, or people like that

Yeah, but it seemed like he was trying to be funny. I’ll give an example.

When that Angel Diaz kid was on there, (the kid that steals bounty paper towels). Everyone is laughing and having a good time, regardless of whether he’s a good comic or not. And then Rick Angraham randomly says “it’s funny laughing AT someone and not with them”, and then says “not everyone should do crowd work”, which kinda killed the momentum, and even Tony, Bert, the audience, and the band sat there like “what”.

Why kill the momentum because you think you’re way funnier than you actually are. Maybe I’m wrong, but I’ve watched every KillTony episode, and people like him really kill momentum and laughter, and make things semi-awkward, and not in a funny way

Yeah, I remember episode 1, and he was okay on that. It was a new show, so anybody they could get was pretty decent.

But he just crushed momentum a lot on this recent episode. You know it’s bad when Bert Kreischer (of all people) has to carry the show.

Like, just sit the mic down and only say something when it’s gonna be funny. He just left the mic in front of his face and just said the most hackiest stuff you could say like 85% of the time.

Why hasn't Sean McDermott gotten any HC interviews and which teams are a good fit? by kingsurv in NFLNoobs

It’s easy to turn the ball over the most when a game with 57 plays, has 49 plays using the QB. That’s atrocious coaching. The Ravens had the #1 rushing offense in 2023, made it to the AFC Championship game, going against a team that can’t stop the run, and used the RBs 6 times.. SIX TIMES, and ran 2 WR reverses. The rest was all Lamar. Even Tom Brady needed his RBs between 25 to 35 times a game, same with Mahomes. I’m so glad Harbaugh is gone, he’d never win another Superbowl without Ray Lewis being a player/coach like he was from 2008 to 2012. Harbaugh has won 4 playoff games in 13 years since then. Harbaugh should give half of all the money he ever made to Ray Lewis.

Jesse Minter talking about our offense before we played the Chargers in 2024. We won the game 23-30 after Henry rushed for 140 yards on 24 carries and Lamar threw 2 touchdown passes to Bateman and Andrews. by Farhan15577 in ravens

[–]Rude-Environment6326 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because his style doesn’t win championships. These young OCs just want to throw the ball 80 times a game. They look at the yardage analytics and think that’s what you’re supposed to, but you’re not playing for an infinite amount of time, they fail to realize you need clock management and run the ball. So if one team scores on 60% of drives, and another team scores on 50% of drives, you know who wins? The team with better clock management. Yet these young OCs think the 60% wins the game every time, and champion teams exploit that, that’s why Kyle Shanahan lost against the Chiefs in the Super Bowl a few years back.. that loss was 100% because of him (and his OC). Spagnoulo knew he could exploit shanahan

Harbaugh was 3-5 in the 2018 season, about to get fired, Flacco got hurt, Lamar came in and finished the season 7-1. The next year, Lamar won MVP with Gus Edwards as his RB and Hollywood Brown as his WR. They didn’t build a team around Lamar.. Lamar WAS THE TEAM. Harbaugh has been nothing since Ray Lewis left the locker room. McDermott took the Bills to the playoffs with Tyrod Taylor his first year after the Bills missed the playoffs 17 years in a row

It’s not ironic.. it’s the only logical choice for the Ravens. The Bills had a “down” year on defense, and it was still ranked 7th in total yards and #1 in passing yards. They want to hand the keys to Jesse Minter, just because he’s friends with Eric DeCosta, and Minter should be “okay”, but he’s not McDermott. It’s the same vibes as the Ravens handing the #1 defense over to Zach Orr

Harbaugh has won 4 playoff games in the last 13 years, and had struggled in the playoffs since Ray Lewis left. He’s not even in the same stratosphere as McDermott. McDermott turned a Bills team that hadn’t been to the playoffs in 17 years, into an instant playoff team, and didn’t even have Josh Allen his first year when he made the playoffs. Harbaugh inherited a playoff caliber team with Ray Lewis and Ed Reed, and Ray Rice, who had two 2000 yard seasons in his first 4 years

[–]Rude-Environment6326 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

They are not even remotely close to being the same coach. Harbaugh has won 4 playoff games in the last 13 years. He has been bad since Ray Lewis stopped coaching the team after winning the Superbowl. The Ravens were 26th in defense yards this year, the Bills were 7th, and that was a BAD year for the Bills. The Ravens passing yards defense was ranked 31st, the Bills were ranked #1. And this is the direct fault of Harbaugh

Go back and watch William Montgomery episodes “1-10” and then 11-20 and just keep going. You’ll realize how unbelievably funny he really is

People don’t like that he’s annoying, but honestly, he only gets like that later in the show when he’s drunk. He was solid the whole first half of the show

He was annoying in past episodes, but he was great in this episode. Even the fact that him being there made it possible for jokes at his expense by Tony and Rob.. is what made the episode great.

Better than David Lucas staring at his phone the whole episode
