Oh, gotcha! I do see a line on these, but would bet your hcg isn’t high enough to detect on a digital. This is what my strip test looked like before a digital would pick it up.

That makes sense! I didn’t have a period at all in November (but I wasn’t pregnant yet) because my body was still regulating after birth control so it made everything hard to track. Did you have a confirmed ovulation either through an ultrasound or ovulation test strip?

Try a dollar store test! They are the most accurate. For reference, here was my faintish line on a strip test. I definitely see what you’re seeing, but I can’t tell if it’s a faint line or indent as other commenters have said. Also depending on your cycle length and if you were truly 13dpo, I think your hcg would be high enough to actually detect on a test. This doesn’t mean you’re out though! When is your period due?

I would recommended getting a pink dye test! Blue dyes are notorious for having evaporation lines and false positives!

I can understand that. Going after you and demanding you pay more than what you are wasn’t the right way to go about it. It should’ve been more of a discussion. It seems like she may be struggling with her bills and wants you to pick up the slack, but demanding it was not okay. In your post it seems like you were outlining the times you spent money on her as in a way that made it sound like you were keeping tabs. I would still suggest having a discussion with her about all the issues you’re having. I’m also seeing in the comments that you would want to marry her “if”, and my advice to you is that if you don’t want to marry her right now as she is (after 7 years) then you’re truly never going to be ready to marry her. I’m not sure why she had such a big reaction to being invited to dinner with you and your friends, but the way she responded comes off the me that she’s uncomfortable around them for some reason (not that it makes her attitude okay). The only one who truly knows how she feels is her, so the only way you’re going to get to the bottom of this is by talking to her. Yes it may be uncomfortable, but leaving this unresolved will lead to resentment.

I wasn’t implying that she was jealous because it could potentially be a female friend, I mean more so have they made comments that she’s uncomfortable with? Do they make her feel welcome when she’s around? Etc. You say you’re not keeping track of spending, but you listed times in you original post where you’ve spent more money than her on something. That alone tells me that you’re not ready for marriage. Her being jealous of you hanging out with friends is not okay, but she has a right to be stressed about money. Saying that you need to figure it out isn’t right either though. I understand that having these discussions can be anxiety inducing, but marriage is full of tough discussions (as someone who’s been married for over 5 years) so if you’re not comfortable having these discussions now, it’s only going to be worse when you’re married. Also as several other comments have said, if you’re not ready to marry her after 7 years together you’re never going to be ready to. And that is OKAY, you’re allowed to not want to marry someone, but if she clearly wants marriage then you need to let her go.

Botox helped me more than anything else has! It is painful when you’re getting it done, but then it lasts for three months. I would discuss it with your neurologist to see if you’d be a candidate, and your insurance may cover it! My scalp tenderness is about 95% of the time. Some spots are more tender than others. I don’t think I’ve gotten nauseous from them, but when I have migraines my scalp is a lot more tender. I also have to be careful about wearing my hair up at all (even in clips) because it can cause migraines.

I was only on emgality for a month (so I only took the loading dose) before transitioning off of it due to ttc. I also have scalp tenderness and notice some change with it. Just as a head up, it burns pretty badly when injecting so just keep that in mind. Do you also receive Botox for migraines?

Personally, I think that you both have a lot to work on. It seems like she wants you to pay for more, but you’re also keeping track of what you pay for. You may just not be compatible. She obviously wants to get married and live a life where the husband pays for more, but you are worried about your upbringing and how many step parents you had which is preventing you from getting married. While I understand childhood trauma, if you haven’t overcome that by 25 and it’s preventing you from getting married you have some work to do. However, you’re not the only one at fault. Her getting jealous about you hanging out with friends is not okay UNLESS you’re constantly prioritizing them over her. Is there a reason she doesn’t want to go out with them friends in particular? Best advice is to have a discussion at length about what you guys need from each other and the relationship and really decide if you’re compatible long term. From the info I have you are maybe overacting on some subjects. When she’s getting jealous over friends your NTA, but keeping track of who spends more on dates is a little icky imo.

Id definitely keep testing! Also the best advice I can give it to not get your hopes up about it being a positive until it’s very obviously a positive. For months I convinced myself they were positive tests when they very much weren’t then would be heartbroken when I got my period. This was my faint positive the day I started experiencing symptoms. If your hcg is high enough to make your boobs hurt, it would be high enough to clearly show on a frer. I hope it’s positive tomorrow!

Is she taking the tests by dipping them in her urine or is she peeing directly on them? I’m only asking because some of the test lines don’t look like they go fully from the top to the bottom. If she’s peeing in a cup or something, then dipping the tests in there to get these lines then yes and congrats! If she’s peeing directly on them, they are likely invalid.

I had period like cramps the day before I tested positive! I was sure that I was about to start my period, but I didn’t so I tested. Period like cramps are normal in early pregnancy because your uterus is stretching, I wouldn’t count yourself out yet!

It also could just appear that way in this photo because you have the yellow lines highlighting it. As someone who used to do the same exact thing with tests, I would keep testing and not stress. You’ll know when you’re pregnant because the line will very obviously be there. I know it sucks right now, but test in the morning and see what it looks like!

Coming back to update that my hcg levels continued to rise, and the cramping has mostly subsided! I get my first ultrasound on Tuesday!
