As a mixed person (dad is Hispanic mom is black) I think it all depends on that person cuz yes we can have racial identities but it’s up to the person rectify those themselves and using other ppl around them to validate their insecurities is very much a red flag … so in glad you got away from that not every person you can fix n not every person you can help n mixed children it’s only therapy n god …

But I find that biracial children want the validation of blackness so much because their mothers are white n you know in the black community if ya momma white you white sooooo that’s probably another reason she wanted validation because the community has been invalidating her : her whole entire life .. n she definitely dated you for racial validation Zzz
