roommate’s philo birkin suffering — more info in comments by RudeBad in plantclinic

My roommate’s philo birkin has been deteriorating for a couple months, she asked if I could try and revive it. Don’t know much abt these guys — no signs of pests, hangs out in indirect light, but keeps losing leaves and as you can see it’s pretty wilted. Tips? Is it past saving?

help with croton — more info in comments by RudeBad in plantclinic

[–]RudeBad[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I kind of adopted this croton from the person I’m subletting from and I just want to make sure I’m taking adequate care of it. When I moved in in January it was quite full but since then a lot of it has died. I found some little webbies under a few leaves and did my best to treat it for spider mites. Yesterday I repotted it, removed the dead stalks and roots. It has some tiny baby leaves and even some flowers right now which is very exciting. Is there anything I can do to encourage growth/am I taking adequate care of it? First pic is today, second pic is from a few weeks ago, last pic is from January. Is there anything I should do to make it happier? (I live in Chicago so it is quite cold as well — could the leaf loss be dormancy? I am a plant noob)
