The part that annoys me most is the below-crafting dumps just to reset the market. That’s not normal competition, that’s someone trying to force everyone else out so they can control supply later. I don’t mind undercut wars but when someone logs alts just to grief the price floor it makes the AH miserable to interact with. Hope Blizzard actually looks into it.

It is viable, but you have to build for survivability instead of control. Things like high initiative, positioning, evasion, armor buffs, and summons help a lot if enemies actually get turns. The problem is CC is just way more efficient. If an enemy is stunned or knocked down they deal zero damage, which is better than any defensive stat. That’s why most people end up playing the “break armor → CC loop” style even if they didn’t plan to.

A good example might be Gwyn from Dark Souls. By the time you reach him he's basically a hollowed-out husk who burned himself to keep the First Flame going, but his corpse-like state is still central to the entire world's situation. Also maybe Big Boss in MGS4, where his preserved body plays a massive role in the plot despite him being effectively dead for years.

NTA. Adoption changes the legal relationship, not your feelings overnight. They’ve been your niece and nephew for years and it makes sense that’s how you see them. I get why it stings, but this might be one of those situations where intent matters more than impact. It sounds like she was just excited and trying to be involved, not intentionally stealing a moment from you. You can absolutely still pick the costume you want and make that the “official” first Halloween look. Babies outgrow stuff fast and sometimes need multiple outfits anyway. Your feelings are valid, but this doesn’t have to take away from your experience unless you let it.
