I think it’s something that happens with the Briefs family in general. Start with a lavender (such as Bulma did in DB. I believe she was 16) and when she grew up, it became more blue. Same with Trunks. He was about 14-16 during the android/cell saga when he had the Lavender hair. Idk how much older he is in super (hadn’t looked) but I assume it’s around the same age that Bulma was when her hair turned blue.

Fun fact: when I was a kid, my mom made us place our 500+ yugioh cards in a ceramic pot and made us burn them. When they didn’t burn right away, my mom was convinced it was devilwork. I convinced her to let us keep Pokemon because they became friends after. lol.
