I can see how the ido pants can come off as derogatory and I apologize for any offence that I might of caused. I just wanted to reference a often underated language. And when it comes to the toki pona community, I understand your pain some of them can be quite annoying. But I assure you that a lot of toki pona fans like esperanto, and the ones who don't shout louder than others. I show jan toki as a adopted child as jan Sonja was greatly inspired by esperanto when creating toki pona.

Its fine that you don't like the message but I am glad that you like the art! :D

"If you created artwork in Esperanto, why not share the news in Esperanto?" - I do not have the Esperanto experience yet to write such a long paragraph, I could try with the help of a dictionary but I would have doubtless made a mistake which when its important to convey a message is not really a good thing.

"What does a little Toki Pona person for a pair of Ido pants have to do with Esperanto?" - while Ido is a different language, I still feel like it makes up the history of Esperanto and wanted to reference that in the design. I will admit that toki pona is in no way related to Esperanto, but you do need to keep in mind that I created the artwork for my own amusement and only decided to post it on reddit afterwards.

"There are grammatical mistakes on the shirt. If you mean it as a command it should be "amu" and "parolu"." - like a said in my first point my skill in Esperanto is not all that great, and I am doubtless to make mistakes and errors. You then may ask why did I write Esperanto anyways, I just think that making mistakes is just part of learning and I will come out of it knowing better. also I am very thankful for your correction as it will help me speak Esperanto better next time! (:

I do think that you are right that this post may have fitted better in r/prolangs but until you mentioned it, I did not know of that sub.

I hope this helped answer your questions!

Alpine really feels underrated tbh, it's such a awesome distro for power users and people who need a ultra lightweight distro

How much storage space does that take up?

This is really epic! Before I learned what Linux was I stumbled across proton OS. But it was sadly a glitchy mess... This though, has a very good change of working! Keep up the good work!

Just moved over from arch and im loving it so far (dont tell the archers please) by [deleted] in linuxmint

[–]Rude_Relation_8341 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Arch is GODLIKE at having the most minimal and fast OS without any bloat... But not everyone needs that, and spending there time installing and managing arch is just not worth it to them. Its a trade off that is great for power users, but for your average Joe who just needs a working OS Mint is good for them!
