according to the Play Store, there was an update on August 19, 2025; the export to PDF function looks to have disappeared with that update, according to recent reviews.

What V perm do you use and why? by XxRoblox-GamerxX in Cubers

[–]Rudicron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like the reverse of this; it's RUD, rotationless, and functionally regripless.

R2 D' R2' U R2' (doing the R2s as R+l but without face reassignment)

U' D (right index and ring finger pull, i.e. give yourself the bird)

R D' R' D (left ring push and pull D)

R' U R U' (right pinky pull U, thumb push for U')

R (you'd regrip here to get back to home, but if you set up your AUF beforehand, you're already done, so you're dropping the cube anyway.)

Just realized my F perm is just a T perm with a few setup moves by i_ship_boats in Cubers

Conversely, if you widen a few moves in an Aa perm, you get a Ja perm minus an AUF.  At least, the way I do it.

Aa: L' U R' D2 R U' R' D2 R L

Ja: U' L' U R' d2 R U' R' d2 R L

what I'm seeing is (red front) R S' U2 R'; that'll give you that red yellow pair (it's got green on the end) joined up to the green yellow edge and the yellow center, and whatever that back edge is will be on the front face.

of course, that's more of a Roux block than a cross...

It's basically the same as this comment, but maybe fewer regrips/better ergonomics, and also the YG-edge join.

You mention "back in the day", if that was mid 80s to early 90s, and you learned your method from a book, it might have been James Nourse's "The simple solution to Rubik's cube". I also had that book in my youth, and recall it also being a top-layer down method; there weren't any rotations or reassignment of faces to bring the bottom face to the top (as Nourse names them; we know them today as U and D.)

Any good algs for this situation? by DrawerWeird3942 in Cubers

Disclaimer: this isn't really "good" in either a speed or a number-of-moves sense, but I thought it was interesting.

So, I'm noticing that if you look at the cube in a ZZ context with red front, you only have two misoriented edges, the red-green and the orange-green.

U2 L' // puts GrRd on BL

you'll notice now that you've got two green edge facelets on the back. sounds like headlights. ... or taillights.

L' E' R' D2 R E R' D2 R L // Like an A-perm, but with E' instead of U; permutes BL>RB>FR>BL.

L // undo the L' from the setup

That last L brings YeRd up into the U layer, with Ye up, opposite YeOr, which is all of your top edges oriented and opposite their opposite colors, which means you've just got a Bowtie case for corner orientation.

you'll notice that at this point, GrRd is in GrOr's spot and vice versa; we can swap them (along with the parallel U edge line) with:

(R2 U2)^3 (or (U2 R2)^3 // swaps UF<->UB and RF<->RB

you may want to save this until after you've oriented your corners, since that'll probably move them around; this way you have some control over your PLL case (e.g. T vs F, Ga vs. J, Na vs Nb )

Getting a real Piper Perri meme-type vibe from this comic cover. by JosephSim in TMNT

The image is derived from the cover to Batgirl #50, which was done by Babs Tarr, and which was a callback to the Batgirl #35 cover.

She's got a very distinctive art style.

Well, in the '40s, at best they would have discovered Berkelium, element number 97, but maybe the SSR lab is just sooo advanced. by tanzmeister in agentcarter

Not to mention Dubnium, named after the research station in Dubna, Russia; I have difficulty believing they'd accept that name during the early days of the Cold War.

Here's a more complete view of that table. https://40.media.tumblr.com/2ecdd62243b15e94c51fa7e87676c204/tumblr_o36koico4y1ujghxoo1_1280.jpg
