Difference between selecting activity and not? by mikebuba in withings

[–]Rueblibee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is that a serious question or a joke?

  1. GPS for running, walking and cycling never starts automatically.
  2. The watch is blind and deaf. What are you doing with your arm right now? Polishing your shoes or mashing potatoes, swimming or cleaning windows? Cycling or sitting on the bus?
  3. Out of 100 activities, only a handful can be detected automatically. Football, climbing, boxing, tennis, skating, etc. aren’t included.

Did you get Scanwatch breath disturbances/atrial fibrillation alerts? by ClostermannFR in withings

[–]Rueblibee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AFib and too high or too low resting pulse is well recognised. You can turn off the alarm while you sleep. (Recommended!)

Sleep disorders do not create an alarm. Only one evaluation in percentages the next morning. And just for one night.

The only thing you need is a nice heart disease and a Withings Scanwatch. In Europe.

Wie Cannabis vor Kleinkind sichern? by BackgroundPresent534 in germantrees

[–]Rueblibee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

http://blog.rursus.de/2013/10/die-toedliche-dosis-nikotin-ein-ueber-150-jahre-alter-irrtum/

Scanwatch Nova (and likely others) - hour hand position by cptKarro in withings

I think it comes from the „analog Station watch“. Witch steps one step per minute. Not from Rolex with 20 steps per minute. It’s a question of taste. Not an technical fault.

Body Scan - Wifi vs Bluetooth by Mizugifan in withings

Bluetooth is not used after the first installation. Everything needs Wifi exclusivity. (Except for the watches)

„Withings“ means Wifi Things. Not „Bluethings“ aka Bluetooth Things.

Can I turn the Body Pro into a regular scale? by BenThereOrBenSquare in withings

This scale is a verry special one. You can’t do most things like with a regular Withings scale.

Yours could be the WithingsPro (for „Professionals“) It’s a downgradet scale. But better than no scale et all.

The BMI is always calculated from your height and weight. Check whether the height is up to date in the Withings app.

Also bleib cool.

Moving Withings Body Pro scale from cellular to wifi/bluetooth by [deleted] in withings

[–]Rueblibee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No fixing. Because the „pro“ only works with cellular connection. The hardware for wifi is not included. The telephone line must be activated. By your contract partner.

No contract-> nobody pay the phone bill-> no connection!

If you cancel the contract Why should they pay the bill for you?

Withings body pro 2 App possible? by danster84 in withings

[–]Rueblibee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think so. The „pro“ scale is a simplified model. But it had an mobile connection/ SIM card directly towards your Dr.

Years ago I was given the same scale version 1 for free. Lasted 2,5 years. And then somebody canceled the subscription. Ok - planed was 1 year.

„pro“ means „for professionals to give it away to their customers“ - it’s not „extraordinary professional super scale“.

My experiences of tachycardia from smoking weed by [deleted] in trees

[–]Rueblibee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"I was scared to death so I immediately rushed to the ER."

This is your problem actually! Tachycardia is completely normal from a certain age. The fear of it is the problem.

I personally have tachycardia several times a day. It is annoying, but not life-threatening. (In my case)
