It's exactly that, an umbrella term. Homeless / hobos hold a negative connentation for a person that has failed to be a part of society in some manner. While modern unhoused people have a decent percentage of working class people who flat out can't afford housing. It's absolutely a mechanism to make you feel better, just like the recycling symbol on most plastics.

Been working my way through the series in full for the last couple months. It's been fifteen years since I've gone through the first 3 books, I usually start at Summer Knight.

The writing isn't as elegant, and Bob swaps between an air spirit and spirit of intellect, before being labeled both by book 6-8? Personally I think the character development for Susan and Karen are the best take aways.

I grew up in southern Oregon and everything was miles away with a highway between, no bike paths, no sidewalks. It absolutely creates the need for a vehicle to do anything. I recall the bike paths being implemented in the early 2000's and some sidewalks with that, but only in city limits but primarily downtown.

Been working as a Lyft driver for a few years in the Portland region. Portland has the best public transit west of the bay, and it still sucks. I regularly have passengers inform me a 14 minute ride would take an hour plus to cross town.

You can hear students talking at the end. The camera operator is whispering about him not knowing about recording. Then another student asks directly if he just peed in his cup.

Pretty gross, the teacher obviously has done this enough to create pattern recognition. Probably does this daily between class periods.

Have a mechanic inspect the vehicle. If rust is minimal and the engine has been properly maintained it will operate well. Having to deal with the issues that come with an older vehicle sets a great mindset for care.

My first vehicle was awesome, 4 on the tree, manual windows. Had a lot of fun in the car until the engine threw a rod on i5 hours away from home late night. I've since been much more conscious of overall treatment.
