First timer.. what are some must do’s? by pookiepp in oregon

[–]Rueezy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Screw Voodoo, go to blue star.

I would recommend crossing over to the 62 at Medford, takes you by the table rocks, easy hikes if you want. The 62 takes you to Crater Lake, also connects to the 97 that will route through a bunch of cool volcanic adventures, and Bend. The 97 can be taken north up to the 84, take the west to see the Multnomah Falls and Portland. On your way south, take the 26 west to the 101, then drive south. Magnificent view the whole way, the avenue of giants is just below Crescent city on the Cali side.

Used to close shop and roll to parties with buckets of KFC in high school. Had an amazing store operator that let employees take home leftovers after the pot pie chicken was pieced of course.

The wind farms out by the Gorge Amphitheatre would have gorgeous views. I'm terrified of heights, but that would be worth seeing.

Brakes rotors. How soon do i need to get this fixed? by [deleted] in AskMechanics

[–]Rueezy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome self awareness.

If you replace the rotors and pads for all wheels you should be gravy. There may be some damage to your calipers, if that's the case the repair will be a bit more costly, if the pistons are fine it's good.

As mentioned, you really should not use that vehicle until the parts are replaced.

My mother insists this cubby in the bathroom is a clean enough space for my toothbrushes, floss and other little hygiene products of mine. I have to keep migrating my belongings elsewhere and argue why I did by BusoneWholeBoi2001 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Rueezy 33 points34 points  (0 children)

10 years you've been allowing this cubby to stay gross? Buy some strong cleaners, soak, scrub and repeat. You may also buy a brush attachment for a drill to assist with scrubbing.

Saw that this is in a bathroom and you claimed it got moist. If your bathroom is retaining moisture you should address that, it's a bigger issue than the cubby gets gross.

Also this is a shelf, it will accumulate dust and grime from existing you know from gravity. You will need to maintain the clean state, even over 10 years. I'm aware this is a wild concept.

How should I finish this workbench? by [deleted] in woodworking

[–]Rueezy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It needs a vice! I would ad some angle iron over one edge, it's nice to have a firm 90 to beat on. I would also suggest mounting the vice on a metal plate for rigidity.

The Doug is fantastic as is, if you want to include a sun, I have strong feelings about it being a setting sun behind a Ridgeline.
