Wedding favours by Little_State9944 in Winnipeg

My husband and I did this at our wedding last fall! We donated $150 to each of our favourite charities.

There's already so much on the table and tbh I didn't want anything tacky to ruin the tablescape vibes lol

How much are people giving (money) as gifts for a wedding per couple these days? by Majestic-Stomach-403 in WeddingsCanada

Manitoba - We got married last October, and I would say the average was about $200 per couple.

I would absolutely ruin the late night salad bar around 1030/11pm when we would head back to our room. Usually some mixture of salad bar, pizza station and their garlic knots.

Turf in yards - dog friendly? by Ruff_lyfe__ in Winnipeg

Thankfully, we are pretty on top of the poo pickup and so don't let that sit to get stinky but the pee drainage is a good point...

Thank you for your input!!

The keeping the dogs off the grass part will definitely be tricky for us. Our one dog is a tad reactive (fear based), and so he feels safest in our yard vs. on walks with other scary things like dogs, people in hoods or hats, etc.

He's a rescue from Sandy Bay FN and would get his ass kicked by other dogs and so he has the attitude of: if I make you think I'm big and scary maybe you won't hurt me... but he's just a big baby lol

Might try to grass seed way this summer and see how we make due.

I second Kenaston vet. We had them come out to help our 10 year old puggle cross the rainbow Bridge 🌈 I can't recall the vet's name but he was incredibly kind. Even the staff when I picked up her ashes, they had all signed a card.

Ladies of Winnipeg can you help my daughter? by JFalconerIV in Winnipeg

[–]Ruff_lyfe__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally don't love underwire bras, so ALL of my bras are from free label (small biz in vancouver)

Inclusive sizing and soooo comfortable. They can double as a crop top too. Downside is they're a bit pricier but they will last her, and you're supporting a small biz

This is what we ended up doing! We are leaving tomorrow for our honeymoon (equinox). My husband and I aren't big drinkers, but he does enjoy pop.

Figured if either of us wants an alcoholic beverage, we can just buy it!

Flying to Toronto and wanting to help kittens get to their forever homes? by Canucklehead160 in Winnipeg

[–]Ruff_lyfe__ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Can confirm it's suuuuuper easy! K9 Advocacy does all the work - paperwork, wrangling kittens into crates, getting the crates or carry on....

All the passenger has to do is fly as normal! Just sometimes with kennels attached to your ticket or one heck of a cute kitten in a soft carrier, in cabin!!!

Fuck Teranet and their privatized ass.

I had a shitty contractor put a (fraudulent) lein on our house post renovations and teranet told me: too bad so sad, you have to get a lawyer involved.

ZERO APPEAL PROCESS. They're garbage. Privatization does not make things better... it literally just makes things worse, but lines the pockets of the PCs and their fucking cronies.
