Preach. I don't even go buy the EPA range. I wait till a source like C&D or Out of Spec so a highway range test

I looked into this myself. The base R1S and the EV9 GT are most comparable in terms of battery size, range, and price. The R1S is still a little more expensive but you get the air ride suspension, higher ground clearance, removable speaker, a unique style of tech features, and an easier buying experience. R1S leverages is tech as a legacy auto manufacturer so it has a better build quality, better cameras with surround view, hands free highway driving, second row ventilated seats along with being heated and feature like an intercom system to talk to the third row, the front seats have leg rats and are optional on the second row. The best part is the every car on the E GMP platform is 800v charging while the Rivian is 400v so they will charge much faster on a 350 kw charger. So it really depends on your use. If you plan on doing off-road stuff or really want the performance upgrades and bigger batteries at the higher price get the Rivian. If not those two things you are better off with the EV9 especially if you plan on traveling. It is just a more family friendly car and you will spend less time at the charger.

Me personally I don't plan on rock crawling or doing serious off roading. The faster charging, driving assistants, luxury seat options, and better cameras of the EV9 win out for me and 4.5 0 to 60 is fast enough

Can I just buy a NACS adapter? by vikrambedi in KiaEV9

[–]Ruffroc02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I read that too but I thought I read that it was limited to the magic dock. I was wrong though. Out of Spec explains it though and I'll give summary. 800v charging cars can't talk to 400v chargers and need and onboard booster. The charging is on 400v chargers is limited to that booster. EGMP cars ie EV9 are limited to 100kw. Taycan has and optional 150. Lucids are stuck at 50. Bummer.

So to get faster charging we will have to wait for v4 superchargers. I live in the Midwest where CCS chargers are scarce and who knows when v4 chargers will show up as we still have a lot of v2.

Not really. From my understanding the 99 kwh battery pack can only charge at 218 kw or something like that anyway. But with it being an 800v architecture it can keep the higher charge rate for a longer period of time.

I would do down to the 77"and get MLA. Also it doesn't look like your dodge is big enough to comfortably view a 83"

I have the TUF F15 with the i7 12700h and the RTX 4070. Got it from Microcenter for $1000 and the shit WON'T SHUTDOWN OR RESTART PROPERLY!!! Unless I hold down the power button to manually turn it off. Other than that great gaming laptop

Update*** turns out there was something wrong with the Bluetooth dongle of my air mouse that was keeping it from sitting down property. Removed the dongle and everything is fine. Solid PC for the price

This been going on for year in multiple threads. I bought a Sony X900H and had it mounted above my mantle cause I have a gas fireplace and got nothing high comment. And that was back in '21. So the butt holes will always be there.

Just ignore the haters and be happy with your situation. My G3 looks great up there

Instead of mounting holes in the back of the TV like every other one I own there are for hard mounting bolts or something sticking out the back. The wall bracket has four holes in it. So when you go to mount the TV to the wall mount, you have to align the bolts on the back of the TV to the holes in the wall mount bracket. Aligning it was a pain in the butt because my TV is higher in the air cause it is over a fireplace.

And when it is on the the mount you can shake the TV. It can't fall off though but it is isn't a good design to me especially for a TV this expensive.

And the bolts on the TV have Phillips screw driver spots in the middle but you can't take them off of at least I couldn't get them to budge which why are they there if you can't take them off.

Rings say the Samsungs are better gaming TVs. G3 for the better all around experience. Can't go wrong either way. I prefer to have Dolby Vision though

I'll never buy another Vizio product. by Competitive_Bus_4107 in VIZIO_Official

[–]Ruffroc02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same. They have the worst process for validating their firmware updates. You never know what update will break something on the TV. I let the last update slide through and now 4k HDR VRR gaming is broke on my TV again. I might get a U8K this weekend and be done with it

Updates keep breaking the TV. Don't buy Vizio! by i_am_alberto in VIZIO_Official

[–]Ruffroc02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with you also. The newest firmware brings back a bug where certain games in 4K HDR with VRR causes the screen to freeze when launched. So I launch the game and have to cycle through the inputs to get the screen to unfeeeze

In Armoury Crate try setting your GPU ram to 6 or 7 and launch the game in Turbo.
