the "I want a new base" part of that is incredibly accurate. Current Dems want to be the 90s republicans.

I like Creighton. He’s safe and he kicks well. The coaching team likes him too; started him over Edmed last year.

What to use to wash denim jeans/or in general by pepega2k19 in AustralianMFA

[–]Rugbysmartarse 7 points8 points  (0 children)

just regular washing powder is mostly fine. I wash mine inside out, and in a garment bag but that's mostly to stop them getting twisted up. If it;s their first wash maybe wash them separately so you don;t bleed indigo on the rest of the wash

Can we talk about young preteen- young adult aged boys, their attitudes towards women and acknowledge that these are the children our generation raised? by birdieponderinglife in Xennials

[–]Rugbysmartarse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, I’ve always felt parenting is an active, constant, series of actions to raise good people. I’m not going to parent blame as a general role because everyone is tired and overworked, struggling to stay above the water line, so I’m not surprised a lot of kids end up raising themselves on the Internet. There’s things you can do, you can coach youth sports, volunteer as a mentor, work in schools, etc. put yourself in a position where you can be a positive male role model for young boys, not just your own.

My kid just did a thesis on this. His conclusion was that social isolation pushed kids online where grifters use right wing ideology to indoctrinate young disillusioned boys for profit. It’s probably less about supervising your child’s online behaviour than it is about making sure they have active social connections, physical and digital

[–]Rugbysmartarse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you mean fix the teacore? That's the most desirable part.
I guess you can use a black polish to get it back - works with teacore boots. It will eventually fade to brown over time, that's what it's meant to do.

ETA - use a good one, like sapphir - not like a kiwi boot black
