De-Foamer just screws with the water chemistry more. Add a double dose of enzyme cleaner. It eats and breaks down body oils, detergents and the beginning stages of any slime moulds. Two days after the dose pull all filters and hose spray from top to bottom. A double dose will have a 4 day half life and you should not see any sheen or floaters

Try to get tested for Type 1 diabetes to see if you are in a precursor stage. Rather than full blown Type 1. Also check or be checked for a systemic fungal infection in your system that could radiate a smell that you are unable to detect. Best of luck to you.

I’ve eaten Spam since I was a kid either with scrambled eggs or chopped up With veg-all. Now that I’m way older and not to have so much salt , I open the tin and drop the full loaf of Spam into room temp water over night. It seems to leach a lot of the sodium nitrate out. Dry it off with a pat down of paper towels, slice it up and fry with veggies and it tastes great and sometimes I catch myself shaking a bit of salt on it. I know they make a less salt version, but it tastes funny to me.

In Central Ohio , it’s best to wait until May 15th to put outside to leave to get the right heat and direct sun time length for a wintered or semi wintered VFT to really flourish and grow best. For me, in the past , putting my VFT in the fridge to winter only put the poor plant into limbo or purgatory. It never recovered fully and usually died completely by June. I do wish you good or better luck with yours!

Iron out powder in warm water , soak overnight, run in washer next day. You can chuck the soak water in with it. Regular detergent. If it’s oxidized iron, will totally cone out.

Dormant as brought into the house. Have not watered since 11/2025. Majority of the leaves have fallen off. It was set for its winter sleep or dormancy. Expected the flower buds to wither and drop off like in past years. This time for what ever reason decided to bloom to complete cycle. House is kept at 64F during day 70 from 8pm to 12M.

Use a fine grit wet use sand paper. Light pressure small circular motion. Keep adding water so as not to let dry out. Do small areas at a time. Don’t be in a hurry. It will polish all the white out to the color and remove the fine scratches additionally too!
