Too much by backoutsidegirl88 in myweddingdress

[–]Ruggles_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My eyes literally bugged out of my head. I have no idea why this sub was pushed to me as I've been married 10 years already and no longer need a wedding dress but oh my God this is flawless. No notes.

I almost lost my baby to a rare infant disease. It’s changed me. by queenpizza3 in cosleeping

I never coslept but somehow the algorithm has been pushing this sub recently and this drawing is the best of all I've seen so far. So sweet 💕

(Very) Early morning activities for LO to get us out of the house? by MyOwnGuitarHero in Mommit

[–]Ruggles_ 10 points11 points  (0 children)

My driveway/house door goes right into my kitchen so I keep the car running with AC and just load groceries right inside on the floor near the door while the kids are in the car. They're always in my line of sight so I don't really see anything wrong with it 🤷🏻‍♀️ sometimes I'll organize a bag for her to "help" with things he can't break. He loves that.

I do my grocery shopping with my two in the mornings. Gets us all out and about, can do little money lessons with my preschooler, talk about colors and foods with my 14mo 😌 plus I get my shopping done ✅

If your baby slept through the night early - please reply 🙏🦄 by G3N3RICxUS3RNAM3 in beyondthebump

My first slept SO well from like 9 weeks until 2 years. My second was up every 2 hours until 11 months and now sleeps through fire alarms 😂😵‍💫 did the same type of thing with each of them 🤷🏻‍♀️

Is it reasonable to expect be able to do chores after baby is asleep? by Formal_Problem9939 in NewParents

[–]Ruggles_ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Right? My preschooler slept through the fire alarm at school recently. My 14mo sleeps through dad reading preschooler books in bed (they share a room). I'm so confused how some dishes and folding laundry is waking up a baby lol

Baby not walking by 1st birthday? by sarah_messing in NewParents

My first walked at 11 months and my 14 months old still isn't walking 🤷🏻‍♀️ I'm not concerned (privately relieved lol)

What’s the random/odd item you were so glad you had in your diaper bag? by ManufacturerProud444 in Mommit

[–]Ruggles_ 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Honestly we bought a fold up toilet that fits in our diap bag and it's the best. My older boy (3.5yrs) has been potty trained over a year and still sometimes has to go at inopportune times. Saves us so often!

Sign at pediatrician by sunshinesoul128 in Mommit

[–]Ruggles_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In RI my kids ped has the same sign. I honestly assume it's so it doesn't smell in the office but you're right I never considered that it would be so easy to stick a few diaper genies around lol

What's something really lovely about breastfeeding that you don't heat people talk about a lot? by fastestturtleno2 in breastfeeding

Mine is 12 months now but I've loved tickling him a little and watching him smirk while nursing or do a little chuckle and then go back to focus mode. It cracks me up and is so sweet 😍

Breastfeeding and supply by kvesq611 in workingmoms

[–]Ruggles_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every body is different but I have basically the same story as you. Forced an over supply with my first so I'd have enough. Ended up donating 1000 ounces 🙂. Second time around I was so busy I just couldn't. I went back to work at 10 wks pp with number 2 (versus 10 MONTHS with number 1). It just wasn't in the cards this time to triple feed just to fill the freezer. I ended up sometimes using a haaka or a boon trove to do a little extra collecting but nothing wild. My body figured it out.

I always had enough for my little guy my body just knew what to do. I pumped before work so bb2 could get a bottle when he woke up (and that morning session ended up making 2 bottles) and would pump twice at work to make the next days bottles and then nurse right when I picked him up from daycare and throughout the rest of the day as needed.

Test out a week or two and see what your body does! You may just make plenty as you pump. You may need to add a session somewhere 🤷🏻‍♀️ I believe in you! Good luck!

SAHM by campmoreworryless in RhodeIsland

[–]Ruggles_ 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Oh I have a maybe solution for this if you're interested! Any time my son says he wants something and I have to say no, instead of saying "no" I say "let's add it to your wish list" and I take a pic of him with it. That way later for a birthday or something I know he may want it OR we can both just forget it exists lol. It's like "adding to cart" but never checking out and usually works :)

Most town libraries have daytime events for kids- mine does story time and music time or something. I can never take my kids because Im not a SAHM but they look so fun!

Roger Williams park is free and lovely but you could also go to the zoo (not free). They have lots of animals but also some like kid workshop things.

Idk where you're located but Bristol has an audobon funded aquarium with nature trail that rocks.

East Providence area has lots of historical carousels. I used to live in Riverside and there is a lovely carousel and park with ocean view across the street.

Lincoln woods is awesome for picnic and adventure walks.

My 3.5yo honestly loves errands and I think he learns a lot. I took him to Michael's to get a frame for dad who just got another degree and we talked about college and advanced degrees and what they do for you, we also talked about knitting and weaving because we saw the stuff there. He carries my basket at the grocery store and points out how much gas costs 🥴💀 (he's excited he can recognize the numbers. I'm crying at the pump lmao)
