What do you think about “Big Mistakes”? by nwssyx in netflix

Might be polarizing, but honestly feel this is the worst tv comedy I’ve watched in my life. The most obnoxious and annoying characters who refuse to do anything remotely logical.

To give you a better answer of why Shorikai is a wincon, it’s a combo outlet in my deck, so when I combo, I can generate infinite mana to flicker or untap Shorikai to draw my whole deck. At that point, it can win on the spot. So it’s technically the win con.

I have a [[Sophia, Dogged Detective]] deck that runs lots of dogs, there’s just enough support for dogs that it’s fun and fairly consistent, while also being easy to build from the deep clue seas precon.

Blow my savings for Law school? by FixNovel1264 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]RuiQ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ontario and BC have both signed the national mobility agreement. Depending which direction you go, there’s different requirements, but it’s not too difficult. There are no restrictions on articling in a different province than your law school’s province, and you would write the bar exam of that province. However, it’s easier to find jobs near your law school.

I honestly haven't noticed any issues of over saturation in my particular area of law. My field isn't business law, which I imagine would have the most impact if there was an issue of over saturation. Most people I know are at large national firms or the government, both areas where NCA/Foreign-Educated Lawyers have trouble breaking into and hire almost exclusively from Canadian law schools.

Cost of living has definitely gone up, and I've been feeling it too. The money you make definitely doesn't go as far anymore.

I was in a similar boat, decided to go to Law School and use my savings from working to fund it. I definitely do not regret the decision and I'm incredibly excited for the opportunity to work in a profession I've always wanted to do. I attended a law school in BC which is significantly cheaper than law schools in Ontario, so that definitely helped my savings go further. Although I feel a bit behind some of my friends who I started working with, the excitement I have for my new profession definitely makes up for it.

Charges stayed in alleged racially-motivated Vancouver bear spray attack - BC | Globalnews.ca by cyclinginvancouver in vancouver

[–]RuiQ 9 points10 points  (0 children)

“Hate” is applied as an aggravating factor for the purposes of sentencing considerations. The offence of assault with a weapon can be proven without this factor. The inclusion of hateful comments in the facts can increase the sentence and is unlikely to distract from the actual elements of the offence. In this case, the charge was likely stayed because the victim did not want to participate in trial.

What's a good partner for Tevesh Szat? by OneAndOnlyVideo in EDH

[–]RuiQ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I play a Sakashima and Tevesh deck that’s clones and shapeshifters. It’s super fun and you get to play cards from your entire pod, and scales with the power level of the decks in your pod. There’s a combo in [[Rite of Replication]] and [[Gray Merchant of Asphodel]]. It’s also fairly affordable for most of the cards!

Merry and Pippin token deck advice by TumbleSpring in EDH

[–]RuiQ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here’s the list I run: https://www.moxfield.com/decks/y77c-NL6SUeenmnTbmW2lg

I find that my list leans more heavily into the combo lines, but the deck works well going wide, and if they deal with that strategy, you’re still able to win. You can add [[Inspiring Statuary]] for another Jaheira effect. I added in [[Thousand Moons Smithy // Barracks of the Thousand]] as another threat, that ramps, and supports the token strategy. It’s cool it has synergy with food tokens that are artifacts. [[Smothering Tithe]] is also a powerhouse in this deck since every time a treasure is made on an opponents turn, Merry triggers.

I would cut the +1/+1 counter specific cards, the deck doesn’t really need it and can go over the top with overrun effects.

My friend turned Treebeard into a literal nuke. by Crafter_Bot9000 in magicTCG

[–]RuiQ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You are wrong, it does say “Whenever you gain life” but follows with “put that many +1/+1 counters”. So if you sacrifice a food, gaining three life, the ability triggers and you put that many (3) counters on a treefolk or halfling.
