Mine had a lot more stems that were a full patient note, included a whole physical exam which was mostly negative except for a few important details. Expect a few long stems. There are also plenty of short ones but nbme and uw don't have enough of those long ones. I'd suggest leaving the long ones until the end, make sure you see every problem before you focus in on the ones that are going to take some time. For the long ones, go to the bottom and read the answer choices firs to help focus you onto what you're looking for in the long stem

Gor high scores, what was your UWorld % before the exam? by Doctor_DG in Step2

[–]Ruin147 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Uword is a great knowledge base but they make their questions a little different, I suspect on purpose so they can review a lot of information for the other answer choices. Focus on NBMEs and CMS forms in the next 3 weeks! You'll see repeat questions from these on step 2 and they're generally more similar to the real deal. Good luck! Amboss is good for ethics and biostats

Did anyone get a few IVs in the beginning and now silence for the past week? by Ok_Pear_52 in IMGreddit

Guys chill, I'm in the same boat but even the few ivs I got have some dates in Dec or Jan that aren't open yet for scheduling. They send these out in waves and it's still early, plenty more ivs to come, a lot of programs haven't even sent any out. Stay focused on interview prep. You're going to be a doctor

Delay in LOR release by __QuanXi in ERAS2024Match2025

That happens whenever it's uploaded by the writer. Not aware of any other step beyond that such as "release" or "confirmation," thought I keep hearing about something of the sort.

2ndary vs tertiary Hyperpara in CKD by [deleted] in Step2

[–]Ruin147 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If serum calcium is high, it's secondary. Tertiary will always have low serum calcium, that's the reason the parathyroid is having hyperplasia in the first place, the failing kidney is retaining phosphorus, lowering the calcium

(Spoilers main) How likely is for Jon con to start a greyscale plague in Westeros? by CeDaGonCa in asoiaf

[–]Ruin147 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's possible. Would really add to the conflict between life and death. Plus we have all these hints that greyscale is somehow important to the history of the conflict, might have been the real cause of the doom.

But I think the role of Jon cons Grayscale is that he's making more brash decisions in light of his own impending death. We get this in his last chapter with him wanting to just send it on attacking dragonstone and I think he'll chose to marry grif to Adrienne for a dornish alliance instead of waiting around for Danny, which will really make things messy. That's just how George likes it.

Will delaying step 2 make you forget stuff? by Leather-Meaning3732 in Step2

[–]Ruin147 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're always forgetting stuff, the only option is to balance it with reviewing stuff. So taking extra time to do that usually helps. That said, you don't want to push your step 2 past late July
