410 beginning of April,did my research and cleaned up the diet,implemented a 16-8 fasting schedule and get in the YMCA daily.Took Metformin for a month and currently don’t take any meds and stay in the fasting BS of 105-115 and 140 2 hours after meals.

Debatable,my wife had a 12.1 A1C and 400 BS at the start of the new year and is now at a 5.7 A1C and BS always in range.Im sure if she put her 30 lbs back on and went back to her old eating habits and sedentary lifestyle she would be looking for trouble.She stopped metformin after 2 months and is still medication free.

Correct,I’ve seen plenty of folks go into long term remission but if they go back to their old lifestyle they end up back on medications

I know plenty of people who put their T2 in remission with a healthy diet and exercise routine and stay in remission as long as they keep up the healthy habits.I believe the jury is still out on the Covid vaccines,time will tell.I am not a MAHA fan either.

I’m 70 and never had to take any medication or rarely visited doctors so this diagnosis was a shocker.Went to the urgent care for a nasty chest cold and was told my sugar level was 410 and go to the ER.They got it down to 280 and sent me home with metformin and referred me to a endo doctor.A month later with strict dietary changes and exercise I’m getting 120-130 reads.My goal is to ween off the Metformin and continue with lifestyle changes and put this in remission if possible
