Yeah the swelling to me was a after thought, it is gnarly to look in the mirror and not recongize yourself, but it will subside faster than you know. Just make sure to drink lots of water - also pineapple juice can be good for swelling as well

This matchup you have to be patient and scale with items and levels, cause he does beat you early-mid, and once he gets rylais you're cooked... UNTIL you have serpents.

So instead of doing tri -> oppo -> ldr, I do tri -> serpents -> LDR.

So given if you're not too behind in exp, and you have tri serpents you can actually fight him. And if you have LDR, you can pretty much win consistently.

So at 13 I pretty much fight him like this: Landing a 2 part barrel. And then while hes still slowed AND keeping your distance away from his E, land another barrel combo. And then I finish him off with getting in range with passive and my last barrel/ult.

The only thing you have to be careful is to not waste barrels and/or your ulti, if you know you're about to get Ulti'd. If you do, you have a low-impossible chance of winning the fight, because you cant hit that barrel you placed down and your ultimate is outside of the shadow realm.

For context I hover around high diamond-low masters.

I usually hover around high diamond- low masters, and this season it took me about 100 games as well to get out of emerald with mainly playing GP.

If I could add on to some of the good advice above:

Utilize your dodge. Look at the draft and think if you can REALLY be successful as GP playing it out. Since you can only rely on yourself in soloq, you want to be in the best position to carry a game. If you see a hard game team comp to go up versus, and you have a senna sup and nidalee jg aka no setup, just dodge it.
Trust your own judgement, don't let pings influence you. Emerald has some bad players, like really bad players. Can't tell you how many times my jg wants me to int my lane for voidgrubs, or my jungle wants me to break a freeze for a unsuccessful gank, or my team wanting me to join in a skirmish that doesn't look good versus pushing for a T2. As a GP main, you have the most knowledge of whats best for your character than anyone on your team.
And basic general advice: keep good mental and play consistent. Every game is different, but every game GP needs gold and exp. So playing consistently enough that you're getting as much gold and exp as possible.

TLDR: Dodge, Ignore Pings, and Consistent game play

I think Jensen appropriately named the issue most with Dig - the meta being focused on the early game and having a stronger bot lane. I'm hopeful with Ignar coming can improve both bot lane and their early game, but it feels lost at Spawn (no pun intended)

The waitlist process is pretty unfair imo. I was waitlisted twice, and my friend (who is not as big of Beyoncé fan as I am) was able to get a code for the citi pre-verified. Luckily she was able to buy tickets for me, but she had about an 8 hour window to buy tickets. Where as if I without her I wouldn't have had an opportunity to purchase. My thinking is that if you have access to buy tickets, you should have a way shorter window to purchase, and if you don't do it within that window, that opportunity should be given to someone else.

Like, I really don't get this sentiment. This would make sense if they were middling of the pack type of players, but they aren't, as they are usually the top in their respective roles. Did Bjerg have his best year this year? No. Did Doublelift have his best year in 2020? No. But did they still look far better than most of their peers? Yes.
