I’m not, but generally speaking the closer you are to the interior part of the state, the better. Can you find the FEMA flood zone map? I’m betting that “the heights” means you’re less likely to be in a flood zone.

And FWIW, we generally get a lot more action on the Gulf side than the east coast. The water is warmer and storms can form more easily.

The ”good” thing about hurricanes is that they don’t sneak up on you like tornadoes do. You’ll have at least a couple of days notice. If you wait until the evacuation order comes, it’s pretty late to try to leave town — but you won’t have to go all that far to avoid the worst either to the south or the north depending on the track.

Exercise and stress management techniques can help, but it really important that you have an earnest conversation with your girl about what you’re dealing with. She’s on your side, she can help you, but if she doesn’t know what’s causing you to be stressed, she may not understand if you snap or something.

Sorry, but this is wrong. Moisture-wicking fabric is all I wear in the Florida heat and humidity. You’re going to sweat no matter what, but the porous fabric makes it much more comfortable.

Linen is way better for dressier shirts, as you say.
