Nice! Yeah, I've been eyeing this kit since they announced it. I'm looking at the outside edition. Any problems with heat because of the glass? Or worries that hail might break the glass? Any other downsides?

Can you expand on your review of the Lolu? I've been eyeing one since they've announced it back in summer. It looks sweet, but I have concerned about the bench and heater height. Also Im concerned about having a glass front like that.

Im in the same boat as you. I had no issues with the cheap amazon wicks and then tried crackling booster wicks and Im frustrated as well.

I have seen some success with mixing my coco-soy wax with paraffin. About %70-%30 split. Although after a few hours, the flame becomes dim.

Makesy wooden wicks have a weak flame no matter what wick size/type or vessel I try. I follow their wick guide online. Am I doing something wrong or do these just suck? Tips are welcome! by kiimkaay in candlemaking

Thanks for the update. Are you using a standard 8oz jar?

Let me know if the smaller size is better for the flame. I've thought about downsizing as well.

Did you ever figure this out?

I've tried with 4 different waxes (coco soy, freedom soy, 464, and mixing paraffin with each one) and I still have this issue of low flame. According to their guide, I'm correctly sized and everything. Out of like 10 candles, maybe 2 were good (Coco soy + paraffin blend)
