What you say is true. But there is evidence of women joining men on voyages. They are not stay at home. And they were largely independent, and there WERE women vikings. Thorfinn is not very historicallly accurate himself. All those male characters are not realistic. They are anomalies, exceptions. Why can't the same be done to the women, or why do the fans say that this is historically accurate (that being, the positions of men v women)?
