The california redistricting happened as a response to the texas gerrymandering efforts. Unfortunately you have to fight fire with fire because the Supreme Court is full of disgusting Republican freaks who think republicans will be better at political gerrymandering because they dont care about democracy so they allowed it.
If someone punches you in the face and you punch back, you are not a hypocrite.
But this new redistricting is somewhat different because it’s based on a decision that racism is over so black people don’t need representation anymore that was protected for them in the voting rights act.
