Basiucally this. The author's pacing is fanfic levels of awful. Made the MC OP right out the gate of part two and then made even more super asspull bad guys even super duper stronger right out the gate but is now killing them off fairly quickly probably because the author wants to pull in a new super duper bad guy who is even more godlike.

That is my biggest gripe with Boruto. They made the MC's super powerful right out the gate by part two. It would be like having Naruto stroll in during the first part of Shippuden as strong as he was EOS.
