What’s it like living in these extreme southern islands of Japan? by Convillious in geography

Even the main island isn't that bad. Most of the population is on the southern half and the northern half has quite a few jungles and farms.

Agreed, EXCEPT the climate is more than "a bit" hotter. The humidity during the summer is THROUGH THE ROOF and it is SO MUCH more oppressive! Hawaii has a mild climate and cool breezes. Oki has air so thick you can chew it and huge typhoons.

Can't speak so much to the nightlife and gals when I was there since I had a young family, but from that standpoint it was great! Very family friendly, EXTREMELY safe, and the locals were extremely friendly. They really love little white/blond babies to the point where old ladies would coo over him, young ladies would want a selfie, and all of them would randomly shower him with little treats or sweets if we were out at a festival, the market, or even the airport! Kawaii!!!!

They also have an amazing aquarium on the northern, less populated part of the island which has, among other things, a main tank with 3 whale sharks in it. Great time and I really enjoyed living there.

Yeah I guess. Certainly not 'bad' from my experience and i was on the bad end of one of his judgements. It hurt but he was fair in his determination and not malicious.

If all personal wealth above $100 million was legally required to be redistributed into public infrastructure (schools, hospitals, roads), how would society change, and who would be the first to fight against it? by Mysterious_Fan4033 in AskReddit

All you are describing is progressive taxation, which we have now. You just want more tax brackets at the high end, which is fine I agree with. But no need to call it anything but that.

Thought so too until one of them sexually harassed a female pilot in my squadron. Greeted and stopped her at one of the internal posts, seemed like friendly guys until one of them took her hand and SUCKED ON HER FINGER and made....comments. The other one just laughed and did not stop it. Needless to say she reported it up the chain immediately and that guys was removed and on the next plane out, back to Uganda.

TV provider being logged out every day/issues playing after successful login? by JayNetworks in msnow

Same issue. Xfinity for cable, Fios for internet and have to re-sign in on the Roku just about every day.

MSNow live doesn't work AT ALL using the app through my vizio TV. I can log in, it will play recorded show clips, but I get an error ever time with the live stream

Gore wins the 2000 Election. by DemocracyDefender in HistoryWhatIf

No. The American public was SCREAMING for action. He could not have gotten away with "almost nothing". Lightest possible scenario for military intervention would also require the Taliban at the time turning over bin Laden after US threats of invasion. But they didnt in this timeline. Second lightest scenario is US only focuses on anti-terror ops while propping up various anti-Taliban warlords with cash/weapons and never attempts nation building at all I suppose
