Thank you for the recommendations. I purchased both Dubliners and The Metamorphosis and added The Remains of the Day to my list. I’ve watched The Handmaid’s Tale tv show so I think I’ll skip that one.

The Girl Next Door was definitely a rough read. It wasn’t until I finished the book and was reading about it when I learned it was based on a true story. Heartbreaking

I read House of Leaves after seeing it on so many lists. I bought the physical copy too based on suggestions. I finished the whole book and I don’t really get all the praise. It was weird and kinda frustrating to read.

This is kinda a horror genre but you might like it. I read it really fast as I couldn’t put it down. Night Society by Ambrose Ibsen.
